We're still not sure we believe the validity of Battlefield 1's obligatory 'In-Game Footage' disclaimer, but if the final game comes anything close to this on the PlayStation 4 β or, indeed, the Neo β then it may end up being the best looking title ever made. Just look at this: we see combat in a desert, with horses, jeeps, and even trains. And yes, there's a sandstorm effect which threatens to totally alter the flow of battle.
The trailer also concludes with a clip from what we assume is taken from the title's single player campaign, and there's confirmation that Lawrence of Arabia will feature in some capacity. It just looks incredible, doesn't it?

Oh my.... π
Great trailer.. Online multiplayer isn't really my thing though. I would probably get Titanfall 2 out of the three. In fact, i'm debating right now oh whether to get Mirror's Edge Catalyst or wait for Titanfall 2...
This really does look amazing!Ok so the latest trailer for the upcoming Call Of Duty convinced me to stop hating on it but this looks so much better and the fact it's not space wars is a huge plus.Another one for the birthday/Christmas list..
Still looks way better than any shooter coming ou this year. I welcome the use of horses I loved the Blops 2 Level set in the desert where you rode horses.
Not big into online FPSs, but this one gets bonus points for the setting alone. It's nice to see some variety.
Other than that, I really wish we didn't get as many either/or situations when it comes to single player/multiplayer in this genre.
Yet more people will still prefer Call of Duty when in fact this is the better game on paper as it offers a lot more in terms of gameplay, I know it's all down to opinion at the end of the day but comparing both CoD IW and BF1, COD IW offers a lot less than BF1.
BF1's maps are on a much larger scale, has a variety of vehicles to drive, ride and fly and destruction and weather that can alter the map and change the course of the battle. No CoD game has even match this but still continues to sell more and be hailed the best FPS MP every year.
Like I already said its down to opinions but I'm still always left stumped when I see that the latest CoD has sold even more copies than the last.
Looks like brilliant fun. As always, "in-game footage" probably means in-game on a very capable PC (they've actually done this before, with both Battlefield 4 and 3 trailers)--but BF4 looks great on PS4 as it is so I doubt there will be anything to complain about. It's all about gameplay, after all.
If that's indeed in-game footage, I'd personally describe it as the 'most realistic title ever', which isn't necessarily the 'best looking title ever' (and that's an automatic association done way too much in the industry nowadays, sadly).
I was really excited for Battlefield 1, but the more I see from it, the more cynical I'm getting. I can't help but feel they're missing an opportunity to capture a unique feeling with the setting, but right now it feels like it's Battlefield but with a different skin - just like Star Wars Battlefront.
And these trailers, can they please stop using bad remixes of famous music and just use original music that fits the purpose? The way EA are marketing this just rubs me up the wrong way completely.
Ok, so not World War 1 at all but cyberpunk/Battlefront pew pew pew.
It does look gorgeous though... clever Xbox marketing to add the S at the end.
