After numerous online leaks over the past month, Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience, a package that bundles together Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain along with all its DLC.
While this may seem like a good deal for first time buyers, the DLC included doesn't really amount to much. Players can gain access to extra costumes, guns, and extras for Metal Gear Online, but nothing substantial was ever deployed for the title following its release. Before this announcement fans were holding on to the faint hope that this version would include the infamous Chapter 3, but there is no mention of it on Konami's product page. Expect this to never see the light of day.
The Definitive Experience releases for PlayStation 4 on 11th October in North America and 13th October in Europe. Will you be picking it up? Sneak into the comments section below.

sorry but not worth it, Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are dirt cheep now and the dlc really isn't much anyway
also why they are releasing this and not something to celebrate Castlevanias 30th anniversary this year is beyond me
Yeah, I'm just gonna go right back to pretending that Metal Gear Solid V never happened.
"Because Konami are Konami and Konami are the worst". May as well rinse the last game most people will buy from them.
I enjoyed MGS V also like the multi-player which is fun. Not be getting this thought as I have bought all the DLC.
Kojima and Konami shouldn't have sold the demo for $40
Not for PS3, huh. I suppose I'll just wait until the next big PSN sale and get the games that way.
No!
I thought Phantom Pain was the DLC for Ground Zeroes! lol
Cool, did they finish the game yet?
I'll probably be the odd one out and get it. I don't don't really care about kinami and kojima tbh . been a konamu fan a long time
As much as I love the game, I'll pass.
I'd be tempted if it had chapter 3, otherwise I'd rather not give Konami any money.
Well I doubt they could use the phrase "Complete Edition", "Definitive" itself is pushing it. They can technically use GOTY Edition.
But otherwise, besides Ground Zeroes, it's not worth suffering through.
A more cohesive ending would have been great, but as it stands I may buy. I know the haters gonna hate, but its still great fun.

The problem is, Metal Gear earned a legion of fans based on it's gameplay , characters AND story.
When you have the same loveable characters and the best gameplay of the series, but you leave the final installment story clearly unfinished, people are going to feel a little down and wonder what "could have been", especially with the Lord of the Flies video. Not about hating, it's about a damp squib finalé to a game that spent hours building to greatness only to just kinda tail off and die.
There's one silver lining, everybody: It'll still be better than Survive.
I just looked at it today, and jeezus it's bad.
I would be happy to just have a patch released that removed the weird blurring when i move or look around. Also an option to turn off the dof effects like Snake becoming blurry when he aims. Those changes would allow me to play the PS4 copy on disc i already have.
