Those heading to Cologne for Gamescom 2016 this week are in for a treat: Half-Life 3 is on display. Well, it is – but not in the way that you'd think. A group of smirking Germans have paid for the embedded banner to hang outside the Kolnmesse Convention Centre, with the translation of the full text reading: "Half-Life: 3 Editors Who Played It Back Then". It's a nod to a famous NeoGAF thread, where one poster hilariously (and, apparently, obliviously) named his post "First Half-Life, 3 Screenshots" – and went on to share… Well, three screenshots from the first Half-Life. This one's sure to catch attention nestled among real games like Watch Dogs 2 and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 – but sorry, there's no sign of Gordon Freeman.
