PlayStation Experience 2016 is happening after all. There had been some speculation that Sony may cancel its annual fan gathering, but an official website has been updated revealing that the show will be hosted at the Anaheim Convention Centre on 3rd and 4th December. This means there'll be one last press conference for you to look forward to this year.
Last year, the PSX media briefing brought our first look at Final Fantasy VII Remake gameplay, as well as a couple of major announcements – including the first trailer for Ni No Kuni 2. With the Japanese giant seemingly skipping its European presser this year, expect an even bigger roster of reveals to put in an appearance.
Of course, the stage show is just half of the fun, as this annual event also always plays host to live panels and hands-on opportunities for attendees. We're sure that the new PlayStation 4 Pro, as well as PlayStation VR, will both be big stories at this year's event. Sony's yet to officially confirm the show, but we're sure that it won't take long now that the cat's out of the bag.

Wasn't the first PSX over 3 days with loads of panels?
I wish they went back to that.
expecting:
-Uncharted 4 story dlc
-SFV season 2
-first crash bandicoot hd trilogy gameplay
-new KH3 and spiderman gameplay
-surprise game announcement
@viciousarcanum It's always been a weekend. There'll be panels at this one just as there has been the past two years, I'm sure.
Look, I know it's lame, but I want them to release the bloody FF9 port on PS4. They did it with FF7 last year, but it made sense I guess given the FF7 remake buzz. Ah well, maybe I'll get lucky.
Yeah I could play it on my PS3 or Vita but I want those high res character models 🙃
@WebHead that would be an awesome showcase... Which means they won't happen. :/
alao don't count on FFVII remake being their due to FFXV launching close. probably won't see it again until e3
also don't count on FFVII remake being their due to FFXV launching close. probably won't see it again until e3
Really hope the keynote is better than last years, barely anything interesting was announced or shown.
@WebHead Some of my predictions as well. I would also throw in Bloodborne 2 since it's been revealed that FromSoftware are making three games. One is Armoured Core (probably having VR support) the second is a "weird new IP" and the third is I quote "a more conventional game that people expect of us".
@viciousarcanum @WebHead I actually think that sounds really reasonable to be honest.
@get2sammyb yeah dont expect tons of big game announcements. sony usually saves those for e3
Would love to go but really don't feel like driving for 8 hours.
December 1st the video game awards, December 2nd some pretty decent Nintendo releases, December 3rd and 4th PSX. We are starting off the last month with a bang!
@WebHead I think that's what I'd like to see. Especially the Spider-Man game. That was my highlight of E3 this year, even over Horizon.
Hope that Persona 5 will finally get some wide western coverage with the English voice cast. Yakuza Kiwami too pls.
@kyleforrester87 yes, I am hoping we get FFIX this year at the conference, as we had VII last year...Maybe it's too close to XV's release date though, if that doesn't get delayed again.
@Royalblues yup, just 4 hours though.should be a blast to watch
@Feena it just doesn't seem appropriate to announce FF9 at a conference but perhaps they will slot it in somewhere. It's a blatant earner for them so...
@kyleforrester87 I count on their greed. I want that HD version badly XD not really a PC person
Oh man, I can't wait ! I've had such a great time at the event each year. I've especially enjoyed getting to meet so many wonderful people. All the other Playstation fans coming from all over the world make this experience awesome. Plus getting to meet all the indie developers, like Psyonix, before their games come out, then seeing them the next year after they found such success with Rocket League and getting to congratulate them was really neat. Furthermore, I got to meet so many Playstation employees that have the same passion for games because they are gamers too and I even had the opportunity to get Shuhei Yoshida's autograph.
Not to mention all the games you get to play. This event made me a believer in Playstation VR over two years ago because I actually got to experience it in Vegas at the first PSX. I highly recommend anyone with the ability to, come to this event. If you are a Playstation fan you will not be disappointed. You practically get enough stuff in the swag bag they give you when you check in alone that it's worth the $60 it cost for the 2-day pass, if you get it before October 16th. I especially thought the chance to be at an E3 style press conference to hear all the game announcements live was a cool thing I had always wanted to experience.
