Ah, trusty old Destiny - a game that's pretty much the perfect fodder for a Friday poll such as this. The shooter's latest expansion, Rise of Iron, launched earlier this week on PlayStation 4, and its brand new six-player Raid is releasing later today. Judging by the amount of buzz that the DLC has generated around the 'net, it's probably safe to say that it's succeed in rejuvenating the now two-year-old title - but is it any good?
We've already had our say via a reasonably positive Hands On article, but now it's your turn. Whether you're brand new to Destiny or you're a grizzled veteran Guardian, take the time to vote and tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.

It's pretty good. Feels like a bit of a step back since TTK but I don't mind really. It doesn't feel at the moment like it has that much content to offer, even once you beat the 2 hours story. With regards the story it's always a shame that they have such potential but within 2 hours you go from being introduced to the threat to having completed it and become an Iron Lord.
Archon Forge is a mess in my opinion...so bad compared to CoO.
Fortunately for Destiny it's still a fantastic game and it's gameplay loop is so enjoyable that I can let things slide and enjoy the content. Looking forward to playing over the next month and hopefully completing the Raid
Is Rise of Iron worth getting back into Destiny for?
Absolutely love it. Ever since the taken king when i got into raiding ive been totally hooked on this game. Theres really nothing else ive experienced quite like it before. The teamwork and communication invovled in doing kings fall was incredible. Pair that with some of the best gunplay you will ever experience and some totally badass weapons (touch of malice questline made me feel like i really deserved such an insane weapon after how long the quest was) and youve got an amazing game.
I really hope the rise of iron raid gives me the same feeling. Its great to play with friends. I play with my 2 good buddies so we do most all weekly stuff tg and then we just find 3 randoms on LFG sites to do the raid.
I'm usually the one defending destiny but not in this case. Rise of Iron is good, but disappointing. Very few voice actors added, massively reused assets, only ten new missions.... you phoned it in Bungie. It's a little over priced as well. More of a 15 or 20 dollar expansion. I'm guessing most of the team is creating Destiny 2.... I hope. But there is not a years worth of content here and I'm really doubting the add ons they promised will be enough to tide people over.
Just wish they made this game more gamer friendly for solo players like myself! Sucks that I have to find people to get all the good stuff. 😢
It's pretty good. I have a love/hate relationship with Destiny.
I haven't played the game in like 9 months, give me Destiny 2 or give me death.
I don't understand the "Nope, I don't play Destiny" option (or the fact people have voted for it). Seems analogous to someone turning up to vote in a general election and there being a "Don't know" option (and then people choosing it!).
I hadn't played Destiny since late last year but Rise of Iron is a fantastic expansion and this is from someone who never intended to play Destiny's again. It's not quite as good as TTK and there is no new area which competes with the Dreadnought instead just a reskinned cosmodrome with a few new areas. My only complaint is that the story is too short and the Archon Forge is a bit more limited than the Dreadnought equivalent but it's still great fun and I've got plenty to keep me going for a long time to come
For those who haven't played Destiny, £40 for a ridiculous amount of content these days and hands down the best fps on PS4
The story is mediocre and a blink and you missed it kind of thing. Its nowhere near as long or satisfying. I completed the story and all known RoI quests (inc getting the Gjally and Khostov in around 3-4hrs. I currently have no RoI quests - just grinding out strikes to get high enough loot to raid.
The story is better than Dark Below but lasts about as long. The Plaguelands is a nice addition - seems similar to the Cosmodrome in size. Archon Forge is similar to Court of Oryx but minis any mechanics - in fact they almost make it too easy - no wonder its as unrewarding (literally) as it feels. Unless this has some hidden quests - like the Black Spindle or even quests like No Time to Explain or Touch of Malice in length, to be added/discovered, it seems very lacking in depth and substance so far!
@Bliquid ahh right last time I played you had to do the Raids to get the best gear.... has this changed now as I did like the play style and did enjoy the pvp, but was never strong strong as I don't have any friends who play Destiny, I did use the online group finder couple of times but the people weren't the most friendly and cause I didn't know what I was doing they just kicked me.
I love it the new areas are really good i can definitely see why it wasn't released on the PS3 now, there is just no way it could look the same i mean with things like think fog hanging in the air and all the other effects. Have not played Destiny for over a year and wasn't going to come back, friends got it so i did as well i am glad i did know. There is a lot secrets in the game also which the dev's have been taking about before release, and if you at that book thing there is a lot to do.
It's pretty good. I agree that it needs to be more solo player friendly. Also, I think that they could have made the heroic strikes slightly less horrendous; not enough elemental primary weapons, basically. Crucible maps seem good. I have never liked the way that new Destiny DLC automatically renders much of the old content obsolete either. The folks at Bungie must all be multi-millionaires off the back of this game. Hope they learnt some good lessons for Destiny 2. Would give ROI 7/10
Loving it so far. Wish they would just stick to the expansions, instead of bringing out a sequel.
