Don't worry too much if you can't sign in to Destiny, because you're not the only one. The shooter's latest expansion, Rise of Iron, launched just a couple of hours ago, and it sounds as though the sheer amount of people jumping online has knocked the game's servers out of kilter.
Apparently, players are being queued in order to help with the strain, but there's been no word on how long we'll have to wait before things are smoothed out. Bungie's at least providing periodic information drops on Twitter, though, so at we're not totally being left in the dark. Ahem.

I'm at work until 6pm so as long as they fix by then I don't mind...
That's probably a bit selfish of me though lol
Just got knocked back for an early dart in work anyway. Plus I've light fittings to put up when I get in. NEVER BUY A HOUSE JUST BEFORE A DESTINY EXPANSION DROPS PEOPLE. IT'S NOT GOOD.
I tried earlier and got a message saying destiny was full and i was placed in a queue...44880 place!
Reminds me of Vivi in that picture. Oh Vivi..
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's the first time Destiny has suffered such issues when major content drops which is rather unusual in this day and age. A lot of people must be trying to get in, like a hundred people trying to squeeze in the same door. Wouldn't be surprised if it set PSN records again.
@adf86 I think you're correct, Destiny and its expansions all launched pretty flawlessly as I recall. Not bad going, considering the norm.
@adf86 Yeah, I can't really recall Destiny having such a widespread problem. It's always been really solid barring the odd hiccup here and there.
Just been for a couple of hours and it was fine, no issues at all.
I got on around 3pm and finished the story line (not all the other side quests) and I enjoyed it but super short, but apparently it's been said that the story is short but the end game is bountiful 😬😁 so it's all good in my book let the grind begin ^^
@teknium_
Lol... You think that's bad I was on just after it launched and I was in the 300,000's. It started working around 12ish anyway (UK time) and by the time I went on this evening it was fine.
