Assassin's Creed may be staying in the Animus longer than expected, but a first screenshot purported to be taken from the latest entry has apparently leaked online. It shows a pause menu alongside what appears to be a wireframe pyramid. The list of options shown on the toolbar include crafting, and a tooltip mentions that you can upgrade your armour.
All sounds very Assassin's Creed, doesn't it? It's probably worth mentioning that something like this would be fairly easy to fake, though the series does have a history of leaking – sometimes in the strangest of places. Take this one with a pinch of salt, then – we're sure that it will show up at next year's E3 regardless of whether a 2017 release is on the cards or not.

Hopefully it's actually a new Thundercats game and those are pics of Mumm-ra's base. Thundercats, Ho!
@LieutenantFatman
Titan Quest 2.
@Kidfried Agreed. And I might be wrong, but shouldn't the "Ubisoft Club" option on the menu just say Uplay? Not incredibly familiar with Assassin's Creed but in other Ubisoft games I've played I've never seen something referred to as "Ubisoft Club".
@LieutenantFatman YES. Ideally developed by Platinum. I can just imagine it!
Assassin's Creed Empire? Nah, doesn't sound right.
Look can I boat? If I can't boat then I'm not buying it syndicate and unity were too dull.
