Destiny's latest update is out now on PlayStation 4, rejigging Bungie's shooter so that the progression system takes the newly introduced hard mode Raid into account. The light level cap now sits at 400, with engrams getting a boost across the board. If you were starting to get sick of the very gradual grind, you may want to dive back into the fray with this latest patch. It weighs in at 303MB.
Here's a quick explanation of how progression has changed:
- Strike chests, Nightfall Strikes, Exotic engrams, Trials of Osiris, Crucible, and Iron Banner now provide equipment up to 400 light.
- The Archon's Forge, the Heroic SIVA Strike playlist, and Legendary engrams now provide equipment up to 385 light.
- The normal SIVA Strike playlist and Rare engrams now provide equipment up to 365 light.
As mentioned, Rise of Iron's Wrath of the Machine Raid now welcomes hard mode challengers. Naturally, teams are already scrambling to cross the finish line first, and we imagine that it'll only be a couple of hours or so before the winners are revealed.
Will you be attempting the tougher version of the Raid? March towards 400 light in the comments section below.

Gonna hop on tonight I guess. Haven't touched the raid yet.
Finished the Hard Mode Raid last night got some new amour & weapons, its surprisedly not that hard. There is a few tricky bits buts thats about it, i am not going to point out the changes going in blind is a lot more fun. One part take me by surprise, and i am sure it did others.
I'll be jumping back in since the light grind has softened, not that I did much grinding anyway, just rinsed Iron Banner for a few evenings to make 370.
