Crytek will take you on a tour of a dinosaur-infested otherworld from 8th November in North America and 9th November in Europe, as that's when PlayStation VR exclusive Robinson: The Journey will release. It's a terrible name, we agree – but what we've seen of the game has been decent enough. You can hear some of our early impressions in this video from about 8:53 onwards:
The game basically sees you assume the role of a 12-year-old, who finds himself stranding on an alien planet that just so happens to play host to some of the Jurassic period's nastiest creatures. The sense of scale in this one is really impressive, and there are some cool climbing mechanics to sweeten the deal. Plus, it's Crytek, so it looks ridiculously good.

@get2sammyb This is my most anticipated game in the launch window. I tried it at EGX and still smile every time I think about coming face to face with a diplodocus. If PSVR games are full of experiences like that then that's one customer they've got for life. Hopefully I haven't got to wait too long for my delivery tomorrow. Surely DPD will see that my parcel takes priority lol.
Yea this is the game I REALLY want in VR. I hope the gameplay is as good as the visuals. It looks awesome
Is this looking like a full retail length game and $60 ?
Part of what I love about the concept of VR is wish fulfillment. I've always wished to be Batman or walk with dinosaurs or pilot a huge tank. The fact that these fantasies are available in an immersive virtual world is exciting to me.
I'm really looking forward to this!
Oh my, already bought six VR titles and have a Pro on pre-order.
This will be a great year for Sony. Not so good for my bank account though.
Is this a proper game guys or just another VR experience?
Super stoked for Robinson.
But the real winner is gonna be Farpoint. That game has system seller written all over it. Just need to nail an addictive game play loop and it's a done deal.
