Black Friday's a big deal for retail outlets, but it's equally important for the PlayStation Store. And it sounds like Sony's lining up some barnstorming deals for the big week, with offers set to begin from 24th November in the UK. The platform holder's even put together a video promoting the big day, which may get the ol' juices flowing. Or frustration flowing – it's a bit dumb.
We'll of course share all of the offers from these Isles and across the pond on Push Square, and you can keep track of all of the best UK Black Friday deals and US Black Friday deals on our dedicated pages.

So, I just picked up a PSTV for $23.98 clearance at Target, anybody in the US recommend where to pick up a memory card so I can pick up some games? I just checked Amazon and it's $25 for 8GB. I'm not paying more for the memory card than I paid for the console.
My wallet is dreading it. I have so many games to play at the moment it is getting ridiculous however, I know that I won't be able to resist more bargains.
@GBMatthew I know the feeling!!
@rjejr good luck with that. I bought a 64gb from Hong Kong about 2 years ago for £60 for my Vita. If you're buying locally, that's the going rate I think
@rjejr good luck dude. £90 is the best for a new 64gb these days and that's importing from Japan. 8gb is not enough for a gamer like you bro a 16gb is the way to go at least.
Even 16gb is too small, I've got 5 full size games and a few indies - 8 whole games and the thing is full. Great system but this memory situation is dire. Ridiculously dire.
I think the memory card issue was one of the biggest design failures of the vita.
@rjejr Yeah that's where they get you with the PSTV and Vita, the memory cards. Maybe try Gamestop or a local game store and see if they have some used ones.
@Tasuki @dryrain @themcnoisy @professorhat Thanks all. I always knew the memory cards helped kill the Vita at launch, but 6x the micro SD price this late in the game is a bit absurd. No matter how cheap digital games might be guess I'll stick to used games at Gamestop and hope the 1GB internal is enough for saves. I only bought it for PS4 remote play anyway, my house is pretty well wired.
@rjejr it's excellent for remote play
@professorhat Well that's good to know, b/c between the memory card prices and the lack of compatible Vita games - I only really want Freedom Wars on the list but there are a few other's I'll play - I'm really close to returning it, even for $24 I paid for it. Still can't believe it never got more streaming - Netflix, HBO Go et al. PSTV deserved to die a quick death, it was practically still born.
@rjejr Yeah it is primeary a remote play machine and it does handle that very well. But anything else.... Unless you want to spend the money for more cards it does a good job if you are a hardcore Vita player but those darn cards.
@rjejr I don't know where you're located, but if I were in your shoes, I'd call the local pawn shops in your area. Where I'm located (Minnesota), the local pawn shops are clueless about PS tv/Vita-related stuff and it doesn't sell particularly well, so whatever the price is, offer less and they may take it. Or, do a "if I buy 3 used games, will you knock $__ off the memory card price"? Pawn America, for example, pays by commission and what they can sell an item for is based on how much they bought it for, so the employees just want to make the sale. If you show 'em you're walking out the door if they don't take the offer, sometimes they will chase you down and deal. Ya got nothin' to lose--worst they can say is no.
Yup, I'll be keeping an eye on the Store.
@jgrangervikings1 Thanks, I don;t do pawnshops, but there are more than a few "good will" places around me, I'll take a look. Fortuantley I've been pretty good about buying things on the PSN on my PC so I can buy a few there and download them later after I get a card.
I use my Google nexus 7 for remote play and it works really well. I only play gems of war on it so haven't even needed to add controller support.
I just glanced at the calendar and realised that I get paid the day before Black Friday. How convenient.
My girlfriend is going to have to tie me to a bed like they do to people trying to come off heroin. If she doesn't I'll end up spending all of our money on games that cost marginally less than they'd cost if we just bought them physically rather than digitally.
@rjejr That's why the devic & Vita failed. Expensive & proprietary memory. Try EBay. Still, memory is high priced.
Speaking of deals, I just grabbed a brand new PS 4 Pro 1TB console for $369.99 no tax & shipped on Ebay. Here's the link for all who are interested:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/302133420788?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The price comes up once you add it to your cart. The price seems to fluctuate, so jump on ot asap if you're interested.
@johncalmc hahahahaha that seriously made LOL
Bring on that Setsuna discount! I am buying it for the piano only soundtrack...Have any of you RPG people played it? Seems like a decent game but nothing spectacular from the reviews, but I like old style JRPGS once in a while.
I'll probably be getting Dragon Ball Xenoverse Complete Edition for the PS3 in the next couple of days as it's discounted to under $20 and is normally $54.99. Other than that, there's not much for us PS3 owners.
@Tasuki "Yeah it is primeary a remote play machine and it does handle that very well."
@professorhat "it's excellent for remote play"
So, um, either of you two ever figure out how to remote play more than 1 account? I bought this so my older son and I can remote play our new PS4 while my wife watches tv or my younger son plays Wii U games. So I hooked it up to his 22" monitor w/ speakers, logged in, played Gravity Rush 2 demo flawlessly. Got out of that demo and moved to the power button to change users so my son could continue Ratchet and Clank but it said that wasn't allowed during Remote Play, So I got out of the PS4, went into settings on the PS TV, logged in w/ my sons email and password, but it said that wasn't allowed either. Seems totally worthless and stupid as a "Remote Play" device now if only 1 of us can remote play from the PS4 when four of us have accounts. I haven't tried resetting the PS TV yet b/c I'm not sur h ow many times I could do that before killing the device, but I would, there aren't any Vita games I want to play. Rally I'd be ok w/ no account on the PS TV and only use it as a remote play for PS4, but that doens't seem to be an option. Stupid Sony, what a piece of garage this thing is.
