The supposed crash-fixing Skyrim - Special Edition update that Bethesda released on PC last week made its way to PlayStation 4 earlier today, promising "general stability and performance improvements".
Patch 1.2 should clean up the mess that the developer made with the previous update, which, for some players, introduced regular crashes to the game. Here's hoping that Bethesda hasn't accidentally unleashed some other sort of technical terror with this latest patch, eh?
Is your copy running better now? Did you have any issues in the first place? Cry hooray for stability in the comments section below.

Hmm only 3 crashes in 60 hours. Hopefully the next patch has some graphic options for Pro.
I haven't gotten a single crash yet, even with the dreaded patch. I guess I'm just lucky.
I'll continue to play it without any patches installed and completely offline until the feedback is positive enough.
@ApostateMage I've not noticed any difference with the patches to be fair. But if it works fine without patching there's no point in updating and risking it I suppose!
I had 2 crashes immediately after downloading the new patch, so no improvement for me.
Any word on an update to fix the PS4 Pro performance?
Between my girlfriend and I, we've put maybe 20 hours in total and never crashed on either patch (or either of our console, one standard one Pro).
Every article posts the update as 1.2 yet when I select "Update History" on PS4Pro it says 1.4.... I'm missing something here lol
@Rsco6969 Yeah it's 1.4 on PS4 and 1.2 on PC..I believe. But it's being reported as 1.2 everywhere.
@ElkinFencer10 That is what I'm also waiting for.
Did not have one crash before this update... now can't play more than 5 minutes. Bethesda is aggravating -.-
