Do you remember Michel Ancel's mad PlayStation 4 exclusive WiLD? The game was announced eons ago, and its first ever gameplay demonstration was mesmerising: it involved snake ladies and tribesmen who could transform into freakin' birds. It was basically the best thing ever, but all of the Beyond Good & Evil rumours have made us worry that it may never see the light of day.
Well, there's good news: the wacky Rayman maker has been messing around with the latest build of the title today, and posted an off-screen image up onto Instagram. "Getting lost in your own game is a great satisfaction," he wrote. "So many landscapes and situations to be discovered. I will try to post regularly some screenshots of the wild."
And just like that, WiLD lives again. We're genuinely desperate to see more of this because there's outrageous potential in the concept. If you don't remember – or, indeed, didn't even see – the Paris Games Week gameplay demonstration from a few years back, then do check it out above. It's absolutely brilliant.

Day negative one.
By the time this comes out, Horizon and Breath of the Wild will have made this game feel like a copycat.
@sketchturner You can turn into birds and snakes in Horizon/Zelda?
Yes! After not hearing about this one for so long I thought it was stuck in development hell. It's back to being one of my most anticipated PS4 games, mostly because it's pushing the envelope a bit.
Sooooo E3?
@get2sammyb Well you could mind control bird people in a Zelda game at one point...
Recall this a long time ago, like to see more! Looks very interesting to me.
I was hoping that this would surface again. This game has a lot of potential. I love the art style and the ability to turn into animals
Well, not sure what we're actually supposed to do in such a vast world, but being able to play as a hare tends to be a plus on my book.
We have more chance of the U.K. leaving the E.U. and President Trump being in term for four years neither are going to happen.
Great to see it back on radar! Realy looking forward to this game. Speaking of games that went missing, is deep down still beeing worked on?
IT LIVES!
Hopefully see an E3 appearance
I was very interested in this game. Hopefully it doesn't turn out crap just because of these development issues
Looks interesting. Robot dinosaurs in Horizon look cooler but yeah it looks interesting.
I dunno, this one just didn't look very interesting to me last time I saw it. Just like that other Sony exclusive with that scrawled pen on paper art style I can't remember seeing in a while
Transforms into bird > fly above enemies > transforms into whale > move onto next target.
I was looking forward to this game, I thought it went to a Coma or something, expected it to wake up in Nine years
aside jokes, this game looks promising, having an Endless world, controlling animals, and above all, it seems it has some kind of Interactive Multiplayer! like Players joining a world...being friends or foes...it seems like a true survival game, a fight for life!
I'm still waiting to take a good look at the game play, should be fun
Hope they show us something in E3! XD
@Octane Poor Medli.......
