As is the case with every major game these days, Resident Evil VII will launch alongside a Season Pass. The pricey $29.99 purchase will bolster Capcom's forthcoming sequel with three DLC drops: Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, and an all-new story episode. The two Banned Footage volumes will include three episodes apiece, presumably using the "found footage" format that is a constant throughout the new game. Some choice VHS tapes include 'Jack's 55th Birthday' and 'Ethan Must Die'. Intriguing.
All of the content will be out by the end of the year according to the publisher, so you've got a decent amount of Biohazard to look forward to in 2017. If you've already decided that you want the Season Pass, then it's worth noting that you can purchase a Deluxe version of the game which includes the core campaign and all of the aforementioned extras.

I'll pass dont like first person horror
@AlejandroMora How come?
Too little, too late. I already preordered the standard digital version last month.
I wasn't sure whether or not the DLC would be playable in VR so I'm opting out of the season pass. Excited nevertheless
Hmmmmmm. Still spoiled from the witcher 3 and far cry 4 DLCs. Want more details before I commit 30$. Good to know that they will wrap everything up within the year though.
@Fight_Teza_Fight I don't see why the DLC wouldn't support VR TBH.
@get2sammyb I think so too, but it was never specified. Didn't want to take the gamble.
Hmm still not sure I like the new direction (and im a big scardy pants!) yakuza gets my money this month and we will see about this based on reviews
I believe the banned footage DLC is " first on PlayStation too"
No-one yet complaing about yet another Season Pass being mentioned or offered before the release of the game? How unusual!
I won't get into a debate about the merits of a Season Pass etc but I will say that I am not sure yet if I will even buy Resident Evil 7 let alone consider its DLC or Season Pass. I am not certain I like the direction of the story let alone the change of perspective. I think visually, its not a 'bad' looking game and interested to see how it would look on a Pro with HDR but I will wait to see how it reviews. The little game-play I have seen doesn't immediately strike me as something I must buy - which is unusual as I do like Horror and Horror Survival games. The Evil Within and Alien:Isolation had more appeal and looked more interesting from a story (and game-play) perspective too...
I'm not one for reviews, but I am going to wait on this game. I can't stand flighty horror games like Outlast or Amnesia; I think they are really really boring. I know there is going to be some fighting, but the environments look, I dunno, samey and repetitive. Also Yakuza 0 and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 are coming out around the same time (same day?) so I'll probably wait for a big discount.
Review is coming soon.
get2sammyb i like to see whats around me at all times
So.. one for the bargain bin than, or second hand.
Sorry, not supporting that!
So I guess Mercenaries won't be returning
Sigh.
Maybe I'll wait for a complete edition.
@Kyroki Can't be worse than Resident Evil 6.
Lol, every game seems to have a season pass these days... I wish they would just admit that they are price gouging us. I just don't understand or support it.
@get2sammyb
Who's writing the review for this one?
@Gamer83 Me.
