What better way to battle through the winter months than with an ice cold PlayStation 4 console? Sony's announced that it'll be launching a 500GB Glacier White system starting 24th January in Europe, meaning that you'll have an alternative colour to pick from should you decide to purchase one of the Japanese giant's new-gen devices this month.
There's really not much to say about the machine other than that it looks rather nice and that it'll be in stores soon. It obviously comes with a matching Glacier White DualShock 4 as well, so there's that. There's no word on when this is coming to North America, or if the PS4 Pro will be getting the same treatment. Still, white! Snow joke, and all that.
Are you tempted by this at all? Try not to shiver too much in the comments section below.

Never been a fan of White consoles and this is no exception. The only White console I have liked is the Destiny custom PS4. They don't look right when everything else is Black. Saying that though I do own the Gears 4 custom XB1s but that is dark Red and Black so doesn't look out of place so much as a white console would.
I know some really like White and I do admit they look very 'clean' in the images - wonder if they stay 'clean' looking after a few months or so...
@BAMozzy While I like the look of this, I personally agree with you. Everything I have is black, so a white console would just leap out in a way that I don't want it to.
To my eyes that looks way better than the black one, but as the two above have said, everything else I have is black so it would look right out of place.
It'll look great next to my Wii
@BAMozzy My PS4's black but I've got a white controller. It's harder to lose it in the dinge of my troll cave!
@BAMozzy I could not disagree more my white PS4 looks way better then the black one. My PS4 is a year old and it still looks crisp and clean.
@Flaming_Kaiser Each to their own! I stated that was MY preference and couldn't care less if others prefer White. At least now there is a choice for those that prefer white consoles but I always think they look tacky and cheap - like some kids toy rather than a serious piece of hardware.
I wasn't going to buy an XB1s because they were white- hence I went for the Gears 4 custom consolev but I would have bought the basic 500GB version IF it had been available in Black to match my Home Theatre system, TV, SkyQ box and PS4 - the Pro came afterwards and wouldn't have bought Day 1 IF the Pro was only in White...
Like I said - that's MY opinion and it seems I share the same opinion as a few others here too - that's not to say your opinion is any less valid or wrong but just different.
That would go great with my arctic white PC, but I'm not buying another PS4 until I see a Pro in this color
I like the look but will stick with my Pro.
no way especially since it still comes with a 500gb hdd. like wtf?
That's a sexy looking controller though, can I buy this separately?.
Damn that looks sexy. I don't NEED one, but I sure WANT one just based off that 30 second trailer. No wonder Sony are selling so many PS4s!
I love white consoles, I've painted my PS4 Pro white, because it matches with the rest of my home cinema setup, regarding if it keeps looking clean or fresh after a couple of months; for me it does, I also painted my PS3 and it looks the same after a few years.
Actually you'll see dust on a black console easier than on a white one.

As if it isn' t cold enough to begin with.
I am a fan of white consoles, however i' m not at all tempted by this one. My original glacier ps4 will do just fine.
In truth I only bought it last year , but its keeping my Wii ( white ) ps 3 ( white ) Nes ( off white ) and Snes ( kinda white ) company.
