We won't spoil which city, but Horizon: Zero Dawn is obviously set in the United States. Sony's marketing machine is in overdrive right now, though, so it's commissioned a series of PhotoShops showing how the game's apocalypse could affect some of the UK's most famous cities. The images span this author's neck of the woods Birmingham through to associate editor Robert Ramsey's nearby Newcastle. Many would argue that the end of the world has already struck Tyneside.
Would you like to see future Horizon entries expand to other areas of the world? Let us know in the comments section below.

England leaving the European Union was a good thing.
That Tyne Bridge looks in better nick than the Runcorn/Widnes Bridge.
@Gold_Ranger Since it's happening I really hope it will be.
@Gold_Ranger Let's not get political. Was just a joke based on the vote and the apocalyptic pictures. Sigh, should have known someone would take it too seriously.
@get2sammyb
Don't worry, that's all I'll say on the matter.
Tokyo, Paris and Moscow would be cool.
Where's my beloved Middlesbrough?!
@adf86 Living near Middlesbrough (Stockton) I'd say it couldn't get any worse than it already is 😂
Until l have played the game to its completion, I can't say whether or not I would like to see it expand as far as the UK or other continents. In principal 'yes' but how that would work with 'Aloy' I don't know. How she could possibly get to the UK to continue her adventures for a sequel doesn't look obvious at the moment. Of course the could use a different lead character but I get the impression that Aloy is likely to be the next icon for Playstation/Sony.
Cancelling my pre order cause they put Edinburgh instead of Glasgow.
Never really considered that it was set in the real world, thought it was some make believe world lol. But then I didn't really think about it much.
Cheeky.
If it was in Norwich, the place would be filled with greenery and overgrown landscapes... so not much different.
I used to work in the building next to the Liver building, its the Cunard building (company which made the Titanic) pretty cool its incorporated into the picture.
@themcnoisy really? When was this? I used to work there in 2011 to Feb 2012.
Anyway, I'm really happy that they nailed the scouse slang on that. It made me smile.
@THRILLHOU 2003ish I think. When Berthlesman had EDF (originally SWEB before it became part of EDF) and phones for you on the fourth floor cold calling. Bad times.
I'd prefer the UK to get a zombie apocalypse if we had to have an apocalypse. That way, we could re-enact Shaun of the Dead.
Those pics do look pretty.
Where are the ruins? all I see is the UK.
I'd take this Newcastle over the actual one any day of the week! Well... not on a Saturday I guess, 6 days a week then.
Egypt would be sweet, maybe a little out of place, but i just want a game based in egypt
I always thought the twist would be that it was actually a Killzone sequel and set on whatever planet Killzone was set on!
Has anyone noticed in post apocalyptic visions the landmarks always survive but all surrounding buildings are completely gone? Trust me, if anything is going to survive it's going to be thoe 60's concrete monstrosities that typically house Poundland or Wilkinsons.
Buckingham Palace or Big Ben would be cool !!!!!!!
Yeah it was a nice marketing trick. Here's how it would look in Lisbon:

Edinburgh still looking fabulous even after the apocalypse.
Where's the graffiti, smack head's and used condom's and empty can's lol?
@Rudy_Manchego That would've been a cool idea.
