Poor, poor Gravity Rush: it really is the black sheep of Sony's first-party. We'd forgotten all about Gravity Rush 2's side-story until a poster here on Push Square mentioned it, prompting us to think it may have been delayed. Not true: it's just arrived with so little fanfare that you may be forgiven for forgetting all about it.
We'd never overlook Kat and Raven's adventures, though, and so we've captured the opening moments of the new campaign above. Honestly, so far it seems like more Gravity Rush 2, but that's no bad thing, is it? Are you planning to download this and play through it? Gravity shift into the comments section below.

Bruh, I thought this was going to release next week.
Looks like I'll have to put Nier Automata on hold to play this.
Oh I didn't forget. I reminded you about it. Remember?
I didn't forget but I haven't played Gravity Rush 2 for a while thanks to Yakuza Zero and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Now I also have Mass Effect Andromeda and may be buying a Switch and Zelda as soon as tomorrow.
Nope I didn't forget, it's a Sony first party game so I don't to forget these things.
@Enuo I did remember: "We'd forgotten all about Gravity Rush 2's side-story until a poster here on Push Square mentioned it."
I've played a bit more of this and unfortunately it's not very good.
@get2sammyb It happens.
@get2sammyb No offense Sammy, but you didn't seem to like the second game compared to the first one, going by your review.
That'd be like someone playing The Witcher 3, not liking it, then playing Blood and Whine and still not liking it. It's not going to change their opinion of the overall game. I know some DLC and expansions can make it happen.
@Deadlyblack I gave it a 7/10? I definitely like it!
@get2sammyb I heard a lot of people dislike the second game and they were big fans of the first.
Which is weird because I played the second game, then the first and I definitely think the second is way better.
Maybe I'm just overthinking things.
Three months into 2017, according to Metacritic...
89 Horizon: Zero Dawn
89 NieR: Automata
88 Nioh
86 Resident Evil 7: biohazard (PSVR)
85 Yakuza 0
84 Hatsune Miku: Project Diva
83 Danganronpa 1-2 Reload
80 Gravity Rush 2
79 Tales of Berseria
78 Toukiden 2
77 Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8
76 Ys Origin
Meh...decent start...
I'll play this after I'm done with doom, nier automata and horizon.
I still haven't played Gravity Rush 2! This needs to change
Already downloaded it
Now, when will I get to play it? WHO KNOWS. I got NieR Automata, Horizon, and Toukiden 2 on my shelf, practically unopened thanks to the backlog. I've barely started Yakuza 0, for crissakes. Only recently have I started Tales of Berseria in earnest. And then there's more. I beat Gravity Rush 2, like, a week ago as part of my feeble attempts to keep up with releases and go through my recent backlog as quickly as I can, but man... I kinda don't want more Gravity Rush at the moment to be honest. I kinda just want to move on. Do I ignore it for now and pick it up later, or do I sit down and try to speed through this content as quickly as possible (which will undoubtedly expose and exacerbate Gravity Rush 2's many, unfortunate, design flaws - just like going through the main game as quickly as possible did)?. Man, 2017's release schedule is brutal....
P.S. Seriously; to anyone who hasn't played Gravity Rush 2 yet but wants to: when you DO get around to playing it, take your time. Play it like a proper open world. Waste time enjoying what you like and avoiding side, and story, missions when they're annoying instead of thinking you can power through them. You'll just frustrate yourself.
Thanks for the reminder. I adore me some Gravity Rush, so how can I say no to some free DLC.
