Here's your first proper look at Final Fantasy XV: Episode Gladiolus, the game's first full piece of DLC since its release last year. It shows how, upon breaking from the main party, the shirtless soldier embarks on a mission to pass Gilgamesh's trial alongside protector Cor Leonis. The content will apparently take between two and three hours to complete, so there's a fair amount to sink your teeth into here.
Our problem with it – and maybe this will yet be explained in the side-story itself – is that following Gladio's excursion, he returns with little in the way of character development. And yet this trailer portrays his personal adventure as rather tumultuous, which doesn't make much sense in the slightest. Then again, we suppose character development isn't the game's strongest point to begin with really, is it?

Yeah I agree. While this looks really cool it seems a little strange there are so many new monsters, plus a fighting style that doesn't appear in game once Gladio returns to the party. Would have made more sense to set this before or after ff15. Still I will give this a go.
Well he does come back with scars on his face - if this takes place when I think it does - so that's a lot of "character development" for this game. 10 years went by and everybody was exactly the same except for some facial hair.
Personally I'm more excited for episode prompto and ignis. They have SO much potential storyline wise
If I recall correctly, isn't Gilgamesh that goofball character with that flashy move Excalipur that does 1 hp damage? To be fair to Gladiolus, it's not like you can get a lot of power from someone like that.
still waiting for a frame pacing fix patch.......so no thanks for now
Noctis is a teenage sulk I'd rather play as one of the other charaters.
