Horizon: Zero Dawn is easily one of the most beautiful games on the PlayStation 4, and capturing that beauty with the title's Photo Mode is a big part of the fun. Guerrilla Games has recognised that, and with the open world role-playing release's next patch, it'll be adding in a ton of new features to help improve your camera work.
First up, you'll now be able to toggle on a grid, allowing you to get the perfect composition for your picture. You'll also be able to select from a range of different poses for protagonist Aloy, and even force her to look into the camera. Facial expressions will also now be an option, while three new filters are being incorporated as well.
But that's not all: the Dutch developer's continuing to listen to fan feedback and improve the game. The same upcoming patch will allow you to filter map icons, so if you only want to see a certain thing, then you'll be able to hide everything else. It's also adding more HUD customisation options, and the ability to remove head gear.
This essentially addresses every lingering complaint we had with the game, so kudos to Guerrilla for being so proactive and prompt with these improvements. Great stuff!

Although I already have the game on my ps4, I still can't believe these graphics can be achieved on ps4. Guerilla games is really talented developer.
It would be nice if they added in some more side quests.. Seemed to be a distinct lack of them.
Appreciate it when developers fix issues with the game from feedback and keep adding new features.
Cool. The ability to remove certain icons from the map will definitely come in handy!
You know your game is pretty when you release and upgrade for the photo mode xD
Updates like these make you wonder why some developers are going down the route of hiding there's behind season passes, well done Guerilla games and I'll be back on this when I finish with Persona
Damn this is how you do patches and post-release updates. Guerilla going from strength to strength lately.
This is why photo mode actually matters because it allows people to capture their own experiences. Now if only certain other companies would embrace that concept.
The only game I have bothered to use photo mode.
For me horizon dawn is the best RPG I've played. It deserves all the credit it gets. Haven't used photo mode yet, but I will after this update. The game continues to supplies me and I like that.😀
