Google has bought Owlchemy Labs, the developer behind the excellent PlayStation VR launch title Job Simulator. The news comes shortly after Sony teamed up with the American company to release its tongue-in-cheek virtual reality title at retail. Fortunately, the acquisition will not prevent the developer from continuing to work on the Japanese giant’s headset.
“Our plan to build awesome things will continue forward stronger than ever,” the firm said in a statement. “This means Owlchemy Labs will continue building high quality VR content for platforms like the HTC Vive, Oculus Touch, and PlayStation VR.” The developer’s most recent project, Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality, launched on PC last month.

"Will continue to support PlayStation VR"
It'd be nice if they fully supported it currently... the Rick and Morty game is apparently not happening on PSVR. They recently told someone they had no plans for a PSVR release at this time.
I'm not bitter. Oh no, not me.
@glassmusic I bet it'll happen unless there's some kind of legal issue.
@get2sammyb well considering they had to re-work Job Simulator into a 270 degree experience, I feel like it's a little less likely to rebuild the Rick & Morty title.
@Azikira To be brutally honest I'm not that familiar with it. Does it require much more movement than Job Simulator, then?
@get2sammyb It's very much a 360 degree adventure. A lot of things you couldn't access just by having a 270 degree field to play with. I think the challenge to bring it down, and hurdles that it would have to cross would make it a lot less likely to be ported over. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but more unlikely then I would like to admit.
Of course, they DID do a great job bringing Job Simulator from a 360 to 270, so it's not outside the realm of plausibility. I wouldn't mind if the PS4 got a little... Schwiftier, if you catch my drift~
