The sun’s been shining for two or three days here in the UK, which means after much yearning for summer, the British people have turned to an age old complaint: “It’s too hot!” And, frankly, it is – so we’ll be hunkering down in our man cave and playing some games. Here’s what’s on the agenda.
Sammy Barker, Editor
I’ve ploughed multiple hours into Injustice 2 thus far, but I still haven’t actually started the story mode. I think that’s what’s going to be on my agenda this weekend; I’m bizarrely excited to see how the story unfolds.

It's an assorted mix of multiplayer for me. After making it to round 27 in Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles' Shi no Numa with only two teammates, I'm hoping to conquer Der Riese and go beyond my record of 32 rounds. I'll also be playing Overwatch and plenty of its Elimination mode to test out the new arena maps... In the hopes I'll get the Power Rangers Genji skin in the process. In between the social chaos, I'll be playing RiME all throughout the weekend, which I've anticipated for a few years now. After delays and developmental woes, I'm glad to have many of my fears about its quality allayed by Sammy and Stephen!

I'm on review duty once again, this time plunging into The Town of Light and exploring its dark, decrepit hallways. I may also sneak in some more RiME on my quest to scoop up its collectibles, and maybe even a bit of WipEout 2048, because WipEout.

This weekend is going to be a busy one for me. Not only is it Memorial Day here in the US, but events in Overwatch and Modern Warfare Remastered will keep me busy as well as checking out LEGO Worlds with my son.
What are you playing on this outrageously warm weekend? Have you purchased anything new, or are you delving into your backlog this time? Cool off in the comments section below.

I took the plunge and bought Just Cause 3 XL edition from the PS Sale, wanton destruction and janky framerates here I come!
Still playing nier automata when I play my ps4, I'm not playing game much this week.
Still on Nioh up to the last boss on area 4. I've avoided youtube and any other outside help so I don't know what the OP build's are. Been playing a bit of Zelda The Phantom Hourglass on my son's 2DS they are amazing £85 and they do everything a 3DS does apart from the 3D (who uses that anyway), and a bit of Star War's when I need to shoot stuff.
Keep playing Dishonored 2. Might also throw Injustice 2 in for a few rounds.
Away from my Ps4 so afraid it is all Zelda related Shenanigans this weekend. Going to sort out another divine beast as I have only done one and ought to catch up with the story after countless hours wandering.
Journey
Mario Kart Double Dash
and Smash Bros Melee
well i recently started replay Final Fantasy from the 1st game again, so i'll be playing the Original Final Fantasy on my PSVita
also Overwatch, me a a few mates normally play it at the weekends together
I've decided I'm going to throw Skylanders Imaginators in to finish off some of that work on the platinum and I'm going to be grinding Push Square guild points on Injustice2 . If anyone needs a guild look us up the ID is 1CX1E if anyone is looking, we could use the help.
I'll be playing more 'Persona 5' (dammit, why can't I have a posse of friends like these?)
More 'Lego The Force Awakens',finished the game just going for the plat now.
I will also be playing 'Utawarerumono Mask Of Deception' a game (if it can be called that)that's not bad and the story is quite amusing I just wish there was more Battles.
I've just finished AC: Black Flag and I thought the ending was really well done. Almost brings a tear to the eye.
Clearing he backlog.. Does.it ever end? Seriously lol.. Be jamming some doom and starting killingfloor 2 before it become free next month lol..
I'm not actually sure. Yesterday I jumped back into Mafia 3 in an attempt to finish it, but I had less left than I thought so it's already done. I want to play ESO but since I plan on rerolling with a warden in less than 2 weeks, playing my nightblade seems a bit wasted. I binged Marvel Heroes Omega to the point where Rocket Raccoon was level 60 in less than 2 days, so I'm resisting that so I don't risk burning myself out. I'm only about halfway through The Surge but the area I'm now in has frustrating as hell enemies that have a tendency to one shot me, so I'm on a break from that.
I still have Gravity Rush 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenera to finish, and I'm thinking of jumping back into Fallout 4 to see if it's less disappointing second time around but I can't decide what to do. My weekend gaming is going to be a mess of this and that most likely.
I caved and bought Rime yesterday even though I hadn't had that much interest in it til I read the review here and saw Sammy's vid. So will be checking that out. Side note: I've bought way too many games so far this year. Damn you, 2017!
Other than that I don't have too much planned gaming wise, especially with the FA Cup final this evening and some good boxing on after.
Will possibly get into the 4th episode of the Walking Dead's New Frontier, seeing as the finale is released next week.
Last night I finally played through the first hour of AM2R (Metroid 2 remake). It's just as good as I hoped. I'll definitely be focused on that this weekend.
Horizon Zero Dawn ! 20 hours in .
My copy of Injustice 2 has arrived so I'll be working through the story mode first and after a quick look it looks like I may be playing this for some time. Other than that it'll be a bit more Everybody's Golf beta and Farpoint
Probably switching between ratchet and Clank, horizon, and dragon quest heroes 2. I'm platinum hunting!
Hoping to wrap up my no alerts, no kills, no upgrades run through Dishonoured 2. Personally, I am really enjoying the game, but I am excited to start the second play through with all the upgrades and toys at my disposal.
Also plan to get a bit of Turrican II under my belt on the good old Amiga as well as taking a look at the Hotshots beta.
To be honest it's too hot to be bothered to do much of anything other than lounge around in underpants and moan about the humidity. I got some new games for my birthday the other day so started Dragon Quest Heroes 2 on the PS4 and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir on the Vita.
Odin Sphere looks gorgeous and plays so smoothly. I've been doing it in short bursts for now but will get into it more heavily later. I really like the combat!
Samurai Warriors.
hitting the fairways in the everybody's golf closed online beta test.
I go back to FFXIV, for preparing new journey through the eastern mountain and old japan.
Saving money for buy new house too (in-game)
I've been wanting to sink my teeth into FF7 & Mass Effect 1, but it's best to save the RPGs for the days off. So, I'll alternate between Batman Arkham Origins, Wipeout HD, and Tekken Tag 2.
On PS4, going to continue the inquisitor's path in Dragon Age Inquisition. Not bad so far. Also mix in with some Samurai Warriors 4 & Dragon Quest Heroes.
Also on xbox 360, going to finish off Mass Effect 2 & prepare for Mass Effect 3. Awesome trilogy. It is a shame that Andromeda ended up as a let down.
Got my 20th Plat last night on PS4. To celebrate I'm playing some.........
Hotline Miami 2 and maybe Broken Age.
Bit burnt out on games at the mo though I am still enjoying Kingdom Hearts 2 (which is very very good) and got Darksiders on the last day of the previous sale so that's on the back burner.
Few days off and I'll be back on them, happens from time to time.
Thinking off playing on my PS4 Persona 5, Nier, Bloodborne and Samurai Warriors Spirit of Sanadu. On my PS3, maybe Demon's Souls.
I'll also be playing Akiba's Beat on my vita but only for the platnium. Once I have finally have 100% it, I'll sell the game (is not horrible but it is not great either).
Guess I am the only one playing the Arms global testpunch this weekend. I love the rhythm and the length and strategy of the matches.
After that I will be playing Sly Cooper 4.
Ps4: Locoroco , Niho, GTAO(my addiction >.<" ) , and world of final fantasy.
Bought Rime yesterday haven even cracked the seal. Between that and still a bit of injustice 2 maybe some forza horizon 3 to sprinkle in a bit as well.
Fire Emblem Echoes on 3DS mostly.
Been playing some Fire Emblem and Just Dance 2017 so far.
I'm planning on playing Marvel Heroes Omega, I might pick up Friday the 13th, that game looks fun.
Horizon zero down: level 30 but Just arrived i a New area (carja)
@TheIronChimp I just finished infamous second son. Alot better than I was expecting.
Finally decided to pick up fallout 4 in the sale. I've read alot of mixed reviews so I don't really know what to expect. Always been a big fan of previous fallout titles. Also continuing far cry primal, I'm liking it. Just was thinking that it could of been really awesome as a third person game, but I know that's not farcrys thing.
Also picked up blade and bones, always wondered what it was all about and it pretty cheap. And it's pretty crappy, could of been ok but controls are some of the worst I've ever experienced... 😑
I play a little MURAMASA on my VITA, when I only got a few minutes to spare... But as soon as I can play an entire hour (or more) (I can dream, hey ?), I plug my beloved PSVR and get lost in the reality of FARPOINT. I have no words to describe this incredible experience, it is so huge, so revolutionnary. It really feels like the beginning of an extraordinary franchise, like Killzone or Uncharted (really good -but perfectible- games which became legendary with their second installment). Everything is elegant, brillant. I can sense some Halo or Metroid here and there... But with this gameplay, man... This is the future of videogames, surely. I just cannot play a regular FPS now, it would feel like playing the first Resident Evil, you know, the one with the humans moving like robots ?
Anyway. FARPOINT. What a surprise. If Sony juste teases a sequel at E3, I'll become nuts.
Oh, and I played Summer Lesson, too. Still trying to figure the goal of the game, but I did feed the girl with a piece of cake. And she did it to me. Interesting.
XB1- Red Dead Redemption
PS4 - Just finished Edith Finch. Think I will hop into The Batman Remastered games and swap between The Silver Case
PS3 - Mass Effect
XB360 - The Witcher 2... been stuck on one boss forever
Switch/3DS - Nada
Well was going to play fallout 4 this weekend, but obviously there is some issue with the game or the dlc for it and its just stuck at main menu....lame 😣
Currently surviving Friday 13th game. It's brilliantly tense when in a game. But let down massively with login and matchmaking errors. Any news in when your reviewing this too???
Evil within - tiring but boy is it fun. Hoping they will announce Evil Within 2 at E3.
And God of war 3 remastered which I play when I am tired playing the above.
I'm gonna be playing the game that i ordered from amazon UK finally it arrived ( it takes 3 weeks to arrive in my country) world of final fantasy 😊 damn i tought i ordered for the vita, it turns out i ordered the ps4 version 😦 but it's ok 😂
PC:
The WItcher: Enhanced Edition [Completed]
To- Play: The Witcher 2: Assassin's of King's Enhanced Edition
PS4:
Battlefield 1 with a friend, we dominated the enemy team, we both dropped 40+ kills on Conquest and won the game on top of it while playing the objective.
Snailing my way (and enjoyably) through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Beat Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and going to try and 100% it, doing multiple playthroughs.
Nintendo DS:
Dragon Quest 5: Hands of The Heavenly Bride
Chrono Trigger
Still need to beat Star Ocean on SNES.
I FINALLY fixed my PS2's broken disc drive. The motor that spins the discs was caked with dust and cigarette tar "I live with smokers lol". So I've been playing some Star Ocean: Till The End of Time and Dark Cloud!
@FullbringIchigo What online games do you have?
PS4: Kingdom Hearts CoM, LocoRoco Remastered, PES2017
PSVita: GTA Liberty City Stories
GBC: Pokemon Blue
Made the mistake of speedrunning Chain of Memories. Now I'm stuck at a boss fight and my cards just aren't strong enough. So I'll be struggling with that.
Also going to continue my journey as a weekend Pokemon trainer and get started on LocoRoco.
@kyleforrester87 Glad you're enjoying KH2. Crazy to think that that is a PS2 game (now at 60FPS). The gameplay will never get old. A timeless classic imo.
Well with the problems I've had with fallout 4, I was really wanting to play something new. So I picked up the surge, so far very good, but I'm a huge souls/bloodborne fan. Loot system is pretty cool though. I think I'm gonna enjoy it. 😃
Stein gates 0 on my ps vita. Hopefully have another ending completed by the end off the week end.
Mario karts 8 on the switch.
Great time for portable gaming with ps vita and switch.
@Enuo
Which One ?
Just 100% the LEGO movie game and I think I'll head back into Dragon Age Inquisition to try and finish off the descent DLC although I may need to be a higher level as I'm currently getting spanked by the two trolls and the mage things that come with them. Also picked up Shinobi for a bit of nostalgia and had a blast on that last night.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Yeah it is very good. Plays like a much newer game. Does seem to be a bit of overkill with unneccessary abilities in 2 over 1, though.
Playing some ESO, geting ready for Morrowind
I sound like a broken record atm, but that underlines the value in getting from the game... None other than persona 5 of course. 110 hours in and just beat the final boss of normal game. Just the secret dungeon /true ending to get now. Probably will buy tekken 7 next week as I am in the mood for something different and from now on my time to play games in long bursts is likely to be very limited.
Dragon Quest Heroes 2 online stuff, and diving into my long-ignored Toukiden 2 finally (I love Toukiden Kiwami, but just have too much to play). Taking a break from Tales of Berseria, Yakuza 0 and NieR Automata to do it, but eh... 2017's been brutal like that. I don't know when I'll next finish a game, but I sure as heck got a lot of great stuff to play
Online on DQH2 is a blast when I've been able to connect so far; wish more people were playing. I'm sure that far too many people slept on T2 to make that community too vibrant so I'll see if I can find anyone but I'm not holding my breath. Hope people don't sleep on the upcoming f2p version of it, especially since you don't need PS+ to play any free-to-play game on the PS4.
@Fight_Teza_Fight
I am also stuck but at the first Riku boss fight and having a hard time there. It has made me lose my momentum so I am very tempted to skip it altogether, watch the cinematics on Youtube and jump straight to 358 as I have the cart.
The rotation this weekend for me was...
PS4 - Injustice 2
Switch - Ultra Street Fighter II: The Finals Challengers and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
@sinalefa I actually beat it last night . I've beaten the game multiple times before, including on proud on PS3, but there's nothing you can really do if your cards are weaker (I was running through the levels).
There's an awful lot of timing and strategy involved that I think gets lost in the gimmicky battle system.
KH CoM is really the true 'Kingdom Hearts 1.5'. The story is fantastic and absolutely essential, so I do recommend at least watching the cutscenes.
Strangely enough I didn't have an issue with Riku. Vexen was my kryptonite. Probably died about 50 times to him.
If you want a tip I always started my deck with Strike Raid, Reflect Raid, Blitz, Sliding Dash & Sonic Blade (best move imo lvl 22).
Finishing off the campaign on Mad Max and then wondering if I can be bothered with the grind for the plat trophy afterwards. It's a tough one for me as it looks like an easy plat but the grind is a big one... Hmmm...
This game would have been so much better if it was smaller.
just had my 350th fight on Injustice 2 and I've not started the story yet mainly playing MultiVerse it's awesome. mainly as Batman.
@Fight_Teza_Fight
I just beat Riku after using some Sliding Dashes and dodging attacks like crazy. Thank you so much for your advice!
I am still confused with Premium cards as those do not seem to reload so what's the idea? It makes me lose some of my higher cards as I made them Premium thinking there would be a benefit.
@sinalefa No problem. Premium cards are just lower cost versions of that card. Ideally the majority of your deck should be premium to maximise your deck CP by endgame.
You can turn the cards in your deck to premium by creating a premium room and fighting the heartless in it.
The only way you can regain lost cards is through mega-ether/potion/elixir which are late game.
Make sure you grind a lot and get some strong cards from the moogle shop, the difficulty really ramps up towards the end. Good luck, keep at it- the story is worth it .
