One of the only new IPs announced during EA's press conference was A Way Out, from the man who brought us the emotional gut punch that was Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. It's a narrative driven co-operative game in which you and another player take control of two convicts, Leo and Vincent, with aspirations of breaking out of prison.
The hook, however, is that the game has been built with split screen play in mind, and you'll see one character's actions play out in your half of the screen, and vice versa. It's probably best if you watch the video embedded above.
You can also watch a brief gameplay trailer here. It looks like it could play host to some great co-operative moments, and promises to offer a wide variety of scenarios.

Really cool concept, me and my nephew might be all over this one.
This was probably the highlight for me out of ea's show
This is a brilliant idea.
look nice.I like it.but that jump at the end looks like uncharted
Super super into this. Also dig the slightly stylized, but still kinda realistic art-style of it.
I like the co op idea, since my bro may like it, but still feels like trying to be Uncharted, even the 2 guys in a prison setting. We will see.
Yeah, I can definitely see the Uncharted influence. I think this looks really promising
Finally something from ea's conference that has my attention.
@playstation1995 Yeah, a lot of that trailer looked like remade scenes from Uncharted, The Last Of Us, and a bit of the Prison Break TV series combined.
Env looked incredible. Characters... not so much.
Wow that looks amazing.
Just need to be able to clone myself now so I can play it..
day 1
Only EA thing I was into.
I might buy this one just to support the come back of split screen multi player
@sonicmeerkat it was the only intresting thing ad EA this year and Maul Ofc
This actually looks rather interesting. Would this then support couch co-op? Or still be online co-op only? Just the split screen built into the game?
@jonny_aces Both I believe. You can do online co-op, but they explicitly said this was designed for couch co-op.
This looks awesome now all I need is a friend to play with!
I thought Brothers was an underrated game. I will keep an eye on this.
