Nicalis has taken to Twitter to announce that The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ is coming to the PS4. This is a huge expansion to the original Afterbirth DLC and includes a ton of new additions, a harder greed mode, a new character, new bosses, new items, and more.
Nicalis also confirmed that the PS4 version will get a retail copy at launch and potentially there may be some extra goodies for those that pre-order. If the Switch retail version is anything to go by the bonuses may well be some concept art and stickers of various characters from the game.
Do you want to delve into the depths with Isaac again or are you sick and tired of this cry baby? Let us know in the comments below.

Coming to PS4 before Switch in the EU XD
@Tsurii I just find that comical. They dont have all the regions they said they would for one platform and already hopping to another.
Might pick this up. I never did get round to getting Afterbirth.
The Switch version looked very attractive. Stickers. An instruction book of sorts. Nice cover art. I would have jumped on that if I didn't find the game to be profoundly boring.
I've owned the PC version for years and have played it... four times? Never very long each time. Game just isn't for me.
@BLP_Software
Nicalis is famous for making EU regions wait for their localizations. Going by the userbase size here too.
I have never tried this one but Crypt of the Necrodancer could not hold my interest for long so I assume this would be similar. No way I am paying $40 on Switch to see if I like it, so maybe one of the older PS4 versions could work.
@Ralizah It's the type of game you need to hit a good run with lucky pickups and neat combinations of rooms to click with the game. More than likely you've been unlucky.
I absolutely hated the binding of Isaac, as you said played it afew times and thought just wtf does everyone see in this game. My oldest son put it on one day and got a crazy lightning / electricity weapon and buffs In the first few rooms and almost completed the game in his first run. It was memorizing. I was cheering him on, you can do it! Don't pick that up! Hold your nerve etc. You need to get that luck and make the most of it, like pulling an Ace in poker or a chess opponent accidentally leaving his queen open to take. That's the pull of the game.
@themcnoisy Yeah there is a lot of risk/reward to this game. It is very difficult to begin with but each time you complete it you unlock more items, bosses, floors, etc. so the game gets a lot longer once you reach the end a few times.
I have the game on Switch, but I'll probably get it on PS4 since they'll release a physical copy for it.
The game is awesome, but I think it's better suited for handheld. I bought it for 3DS. Buy it and give it a chance.
@sinalefa The only thing crypt of the necrodancer and binding of isaac have in common is that they're both in the "roguelike" category in that things are randomized in each run. Binding of isaac is in no way similar to it in terms of gameplay. It plays like a twin stick shooter, not so much bullet hell, slower paced.
