The slow summer months have finally arrived, and for the first time in 2017, the PlayStation 4 is taking a bit of a breather – and giving you an opportunity to work through your backlog. Assuming you’re all up to date, though, the release schedule isn’t completely dead: Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is looking like a really sturdy remaster, while Supergiant Games is going for a hat-trick with Pyre. And then there are a handful of other intriguing releases: That’s You is shaping up to be a nice start to Sony’s new PlayLink initiative, while Super Cloudbuilt is an attractive parkour-powered platformer. What’s taking your fancy?

Another quiet month for me in preparation for the holiday season. Lost Legacy in August is most likely going to be the next 'new' game I buy...
I'm interested in That's You and Super Cloudbuilt, but it's definitely a backlog month.
Nothing for me.
Definitely interested in Yonder, but that's about all I'll be picking up. I love months like this as I get a chance to power through some of my ridiculous back log! Darn these sales lately, as it's growing quickly!
I have Final Fantasy XII preordered but that's it.I wonder what ever happened to Summon Night 6..
Just FFXII for me. I've been pining for a FFXII remaster ever since the PS3 and it's finally here! Can't wait.
Nothing for me on PS4. Pyre looks interesting, but I still haven't played Bastion or Transistor yet.
Only new game for me next month will be Splatoon 2.
FF on my list someday lol
Destiny 2 beta and keep going with Persona 5 until Uncharted hits
Ff12 remaster, never finished it on my ps3, destiny 2 beta. Fortnite looks interesting but saving my self for destiny 2 special edition, star wars battlefront 2 special edition that are pretty hefty price tags
I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (PS4) - July 11th.
Pretty rubbish, but at least Crash is out on 6/30 — close enough to July!
@Ralizah
Agreed in both statements. I have both games but haven't played them, actually.
Every time I see Dragon Quest XI in an upcoming release list I get super excited! Only to have my hopes crushed by seeing that it's the release for Japan
Missing SAO vs Accel World on July 7
Dragon Quest XI is my most wanted game on my list, but that's Japan only. At least I can work on my backlog.
Other than a small interest in FF12 (then I remember the lame story), looks like I'll have no problem hunkering down with the N.Sane Trilogy until Hellblade in August.
@Ralizah Maybe a weird question what do Bastion and Transistor have to do with Pyre they are not related they only come from the same studio?
@jsizzl Never understood why Square-Enix have such massive gaps between east and west releases.
@Flaming_Kaiser Same developer. Same type of game. Why would I buy another one when I already have two I've yet to play?
@Ralizah same developer but very different gameplay mechanics. Bastion is more action oriented whereas Transistor is more about strategy and planning out your attacks and Pyre looks to be a turn based rpg similar to old Final Fantasy games.
EDIT: actually I was wrong, Pyre's combat looks different than a typical turn based rpg. Actually not quite sure what's going on based on the trailer I watched...
As a huge fan of Bastion and Transistor I am very excited to play Pyre.
Otherwise, it looks like I will squeeze in a replay of Evil Within as I loved that game and want a refresh in preparation for the sequel. I had anticipated getting the platinum on Crash but blimey is it tougher than I remembered, this will also keep me busy I reckon.
Codename Panzers... err, I mean, Sudden Strike 4 is my current, next, pre-order to drop.
Any word on the western release of DJ Max? Korean websites still seem to think its later this month but I cant find anything on it this side of the world
The only thing I'm interested in for July is Splatoon 2 and the New Nintendo 2DS XL.
I won't be buying anything in July, but I hope to give Until Dawn a go after I complete Life Is Strange. Next game I purchase will be Sonic Mania when that comes out.
Can't wait for ff12! I had 100+ hours into it on PS2, and I decided to stop playing it and wait for the remaster to come out in 15 years or so...well that's a lie can't remember why I stopped playing it....
Phone went crazy and posted this like 5 times, sorry, I think I deleted them🤔
