In another quiet week for the UK sales charts, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has secured its fourth consecutive week at the summit – and its sixth overall. The throwback platformer has proven to be the success story of the summer, with it demolishing Activision’s expectations – and convincing it to invest more into the maniacal marsupial.
There’s not much else to say this week, though. Fallout 4 is up all the way into second position on the back of promotions, while Dishonored 2 and DOOM are doing well, too. Grand Theft Auto V’s still hanging about, while Horizon: Zero Dawn’s still lingering just outside the top ten. We’ve included the full rundown below.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 12th August, 2017
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
- Fallout 4
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Dishonored 2
- DOOM
- Splatoon 2
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege
- Forza Horizon 3
- Battlefield 1

If they bring Ape Escape collection to PS4, it would outsell PS2's sold.
Crash was good, but I got Yooka Laylee over the weekend and I'm having a lot more fun with this so far! Eep!
@kyleforrester87 Crash Collection put me in a mood for more platformers, so I canceled my Cities Skylines pre-order and bought Yooka Laylee... and that was a big mistake. I love the Banjo games, but this feels so uninspired, bland and empty.
Glad you enjoy it, but playing this I can only think about getting back to Crash. Hopefully Activision will follow up with more Crash and Spyro.
I'm out of crash puns..
Wait, what beat Crash in that one week it wasn't no.1?
And to think that Activision cancelled Crash Landed and CTR 2010 because they thought it wouldn't sell.
@viciousarcanum Splatoon 2?
@Octane @viciousarcanum It was Final Fantasy 12 HD during the week of July 15th.
@kyleforrester87 Well, then. That's something!
Crash is bashing the competition.
@get2sammyb @HefHughner I don't really get the empty criticism, I've only been in 3 worlds and I understand the casino one which I haven't been to yet is pretty bland. But overall I've been pretty impressed with what I've played.
I guess my expectations were just pretty low! Lol
@kyleforrester87 I actually quite enjoyed Yooka-Laylee. I haven't played it since they released that big update, so maybe that has helped squash some of the problems the game had (an appalling camera being the main offender).
On topic - really pleased to see a nice variety in the charts
UK folks truly have horrible taste. but then again crash kinda looks like every British person ever..so it maybe that's why they like him so much LOL
@HefHughner i can see you getting A Hat In Time when that comes out and maybe Knack 2 cus that IS a platformer (+ DONT RESIST THE MEME) well in the realm of PS4 if you have a certain other platform then I suppose you can touch at that Italian Plumber and his mythical adventure
@wiiware um Welp Crash Bandicoot is helping prevent another CRASH
@manu0 I wished I was as cute as Crash, champ!
Crash will probably still be in the charts in September when Metroid: Samus Returns and lots of other new games hit. No signs of slowing down, actually Crash's sales only dropped 1 % since last week!
Where's Hellblade, Lawbreakers ect.? These brits kids and their bloody tastes in games...
I started Crash yesterday. As fun and frustrating as I remembered it.

@manu0 so Daniel Craig, Kiera Knightley, Tom Hardy, Benelyn Tyxilix (off sherlock), Sir Anthony Hopkins, John Lennon, Dame Helen Mirren, Emillia Clarke, Christian bale, Gary Oldman, and Slash all look like Crash Bandicoot.
What exactly have you been smoking you meff?
@THRILLHOU i don't know any of these people, but if they are all british then: yes.
@manu0 I'll assume that English isn't your first language, and therefore you have no idea how silly comments like that make you look. Either way, attitudes such as yours are at best irritating and at worst harmful.
If you're trolling, you're not very good at it. If you're not, then du bist eine grossen wixer mein freund.
