It definitely feels like we’re in the calm before the storm right now, doesn’t it? The release schedule is about to get really hectic, with virtually one new heavy hitter arriving every week through October and early November. This is last chance saloon until Christmas for your backlogs, then. Give ‘em hell!

I really, really, really want FIFA 18 and Madden NFL 18 but I’m restraining myself from purchasing them until I’m fully finished with last year’s instalments. Seeing as I still need to see Alex Hunter’s first season through and add Odell Beckham Jnr to my Ultimate Team, I’ve got plenty to keep me busy this weekend.

It's review city this weekend as I get stuck into both FIFA 18 and Gundam Versus. That's some variety right there, isn't it?

Not too much time for gaming this weekend for me. So I will be continuing through Road to the Show on MLB the Show 17 along with a few matches of Call of Duty: WWII PC beta.
Pretty short update from us this week, but we’re sure you’ll make up for it in the comments section. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know below.

Destiny 2 with my friend, some KH2....
I'm thinking about buying Cuphead on PC
Danganronpa V3! Amazon couldn't honour my preorder but I managed to get it elsewhere and it arrived this morning.
Gonna continue with Doom later too. I'm on Chapter 11 now so not too much more to do. It's awesome. I really like exploring the levels to find secrets and upgrade my runes and weapons.
Yakuza Kiwami and Star Fox 2
My copy of Dragon's Dogma for PS4 arrived this morning which has made me intensely happy, so my weekend will be dedicated to playing through this incredible game for the 20 millionth time
I am getting back to gaming after a dry week or so. Finally finishing Samus Returns, maybe mop up Bastion. I am really tempted to get either Destiny 2 or Splatoon 2 as I am in the mood for some shooty bang bang and just got paid. Or I may wait till Wolfenstein at the end of the month (the sensible thing to do).
@Gatatog Eh? That out already is it? Thought it was months away yet.
Pillars and Destiny for me!
I will be bouncing back and forth between Yooka-Laylee and the endless hunt for Cat Call on Injustice 2. I may even try to finally get episode 3 of Guardians of Galaxy Telltale done.
Still playing zelda, disgaea 5, amd knack 2.
Cuphead, if I get around to buying it.
If I don't, then I'll probably start Yakuza 0, play a few runs in Isaac Afterbirth+ or keep playing Everybody's Golf.
Or I might start playing Earthbound on the SNES Classic.
@kyleforrester87 Yeah, it's out on Tuesday
I took a short break from Persona 5 and put in Horizon Zero Dawn again and fell back in love with it. So much stuff do do there. Will probably jump back and forth.
FF9 and Destiny 1. I might try once again to get into the Phantom Pain. I loved Peace Walker so I don't know why I don't dig this last MGS.
Pokemon Silver. I feel like a kid again.
@Gamer83 I'm guessing that means you managed to get a SNES Classic. Good job on getting one, man.
I might be on PS3 this weekend. In addition to FFVII, I've got a lot of PS3 games to finish. Turns out I never finished the campaigns on Wipeout HD, for one.
Destiny 2 and Rocket League.
Repeatedly falling into the water, No Man's Wharf, Dark Souls 2.
Pretty much Snes games for me this weekend and the forseeable future!
Witcher 3,FF 9 and VR for ps4.And Mario And Rabbids,Zelda and Piczle Lines for Switch is my line up this weekend
Breath of the wild and Mario kart 8 on my wii U and American Truck simulator on the pc.
Might fire up my Saturn as well.
I'll be playing Hob. Lovin that Hob.
I gotta work this weekend, ugh. I'll make time for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, Yakuza Kiwami, and Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash for PS4. Pokemon Silver for 3DS.
Oh, and a Xbox One game Cuphead.
@Enuo been thinking of picking it up after reading an article that compared the world to that of a link to the past; one of my all-time favorites.
I'm gonna try and finish p5. I'm near the end of a dungeon where there are four tough fights in a row and I'm about to abandon ship...
I'm getting towards the end of Uncharted 2, so that might get completed this weekend. Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX might also get finished off this weekend. Maybe some Monster Hunter Generations and Mega Man 6 as well.
Should be playing Hive Jump on Wii U but lousy dev still doesnt have the backer codes and dont know when. Infuriating and unprofessional.
Since I beat Lost Legacy I will continue with Crash 1, Splatoon 2 and Thumper.
@shonenjump86
How is Peach Beach? Reviews weren't amazing but I am still curious about the online multiplayer.
Just Destiny 2!
I picked up the complete battlefront with all dlc a little while ago so I'll be trying out a few modes of this
Destiny's child for me all weekend. The raid continues to be the main focus, but the clan have been hammering the Nightfall as well.
@sinalefa it's fun, I haven't tried out the online multiplayer yet. I heard it's hard to find someone else playing online through.
probably going to continue my FFIX play through and maybe a little mess around on FFXV and Star Trek Online
@Gatatog Nice... enjoy. I never played it, I was fed up with the shoddy performance of games on last gen consoles around the time it launched. I will be getting this for sure once I'm done with my small back log and Evil Within/Wolfenstein.
@Rudy_Manchego Just finished Bastion last night. Really enjoyed it.
I picked up Arms for the Switch today so I'll be learning the ropes with that one. First impressions are positive - fun and harder than it looks!
Plus some Titanfall 2 online.
PSVita: Final Fantasy 3
I'm on the road this weekend, so it's just the Vita for me. Enjoying the game a fair bit now.
Uncharted 4 & Mafia 3
I'm out of station this weekend but I've completed mgs ground zeroes over the week. I really enjoyed and was planning to get phantom pain.
What luck - it's free for ps plus oct
@themcnoisy I see you've falling back down the RL trap
Not much for me this weekend, busy moving to an apartment and getting organised for work. Might get on the vita for Shovel Knight or Trails in the Sky SC. Also recently started Shadowrun on the laptop so might get through more of that
@toffeecrit wow sor2 one of the best games ever.
@hego yes mate well and truly. I always throw down a few games before I play anything else.
Battlefield 1, waiting for shadow of war.
I didn't think I'd ever enjoy Destiny 2, I bought into the hype, and realized I absolutely love it.
Still on GTA V story mode along with cuphead. Just picked up monster hunter 3 as well
Either Dishonored: Death of the Outsider or Overwatch. After the free weekend Overwatch had last weekend I finally decided to buy it.
It's PES2018 for me. Also Prey, what a great game but I fill I get distracted with so many side missions.
The game is so exhaustingly hard (and fun too)
Just finished Parasite Eve on PS1. Going to try Silent Hill — so far not overly impressed, but I can see why it was appealing in 1999.
On PS4, continuing Lara Croft: Osiris (great) and playing some Infamous Second Son here and there (decent).
@Gatatog did dragons dogma already release?
Nioh, this game is all consuming. I thought nier was my goty, but now I dont know. What a great year for games.
@ellsworth004 DD is out next tuesday.
I'm close to finish HZD and then I'll go back to Dunwall with Dishonored; the port is a bit lazy, but gameplay and art style are just great.
@andreoni79 im very interested in dragons dogma, im just worried I will not like the combat. Is there any other game u can compare it to, combat wise?
@andreoni79
how is it a lazy port ?
@Enuo
Yep Hob for me too. What a great game. Really worth the price.
Going to give another go to Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare as it is Halloween season. I got too spooked last time I tried to play it in 2010.
@KitsuneNight All the old gen remasters I played got the 1080/60fps treatment with new textures and effects, while this is just the PC version locked at 30 fps. Still great, especially for €15.
@ellsworth004 The combat system was the best part of the game for me; being a mage, a swordman or an archer really change the way you play. The map isn't huge but the world feels concrete and having to manage your companions is a funny job. I'd surely prefer a DD2 over a new Skyrim or Witcher game.
Golf Story on Switch. Still waiting on my SNES Mini pre-order to show up in the mail. Jumping right in to Yoshi's Island when it gets here.
I am late to this party, but received Dragon's Dogma Saturday and that has been my go to this weekend. Looks a lot better on PS4, as the graphics were really pretty terrible on the PS3. Really enjoying it so far and looking forward to it going online to be able to start using other people's pawns.
@andreoni79
I see.
Okay, just wondering.
