Attract modes are great. Originally employed by arcade games to draw attention and coax quarters out of unsuspecting pockets, they’re not quite as common on console games these days. They still exist, of course: MLB The Show 17 has a great one where it’ll start up a CPU vs CPU game which you can join at any time.
But this Gran Turismo Sport one is a thing of sheer, unadulterated beauty. It mixes Scapes with car renders and replay footage, and it’s just… Well, we’ll let you enjoy the near 10 minutes of PlayStation 4 Pro footage above. Everything about this oozes class – the music, the car models, the bloody bit about six minutes in where it pans around a clay model before revealing the final product.
Man.

@get2sammyb Agreed, I watched this with my God son and he couldn't believe this was running on a PS4.
@Turismo4GT It's mental, isn't it? Even if it's a complete failure as a game, it's going to make for a brilliant screensaver.
Everything but the gameplay.

Gameplay in a Gran Turismo game ?
Dont be silly !
@KitsuneNight Yeah, gameplay in a driving sim? Ha, I wish!
I just start to download the game this morning, I must say psn download speed for this demo is surprisingly fast compared to other games, can't wait to try it
can't wait to try it on my Pro and see how the 4K at 60 holds up!
My phone shouldn't let me write a post at 2 am directly from the pub! Stupid technology! At least I haven't posted a selfie...
Already download it, this is the best wallpaper ever for my 4k oled tv, lg b6
I left it running on my PS4 Pro for a good 50 minutes after setting up and exploring what I could, my wife and I were really enjoying the music and visuals. Tried to explain to her about HDR and SDR I think she gets it lol...
Really wish they hadn't dropped all the single player cups. As much as I want to vote with my wallet in protest, I'll be getting it day one.
@SoulChimera Same, I think GT Sport is a long term investment that will grow gradually. It may not look like much now but all the things that are missing could easily be added in later via DLC. Kaz already said that many of the other car types fans are use to will be added later on. I see no reason why a few classic cup races can't be added later on "sunday cup" ect...
It looks outstanding but Sim racing games do nothing for me.
Wtf this is insane...the Viper symbol was the part that I was like "is this a real life video or what?"...insanely pretty and detailed! I'm just sad that the gameplay in GT games is always meh! Simulation =/= fun sometimes...Hope they get it better in this game.
Also seeing this video with this music was like watching car porn or something lol
@ShogunRok
i know !
It's like they keep recycling the same tired 20 year old, "gameplay" or something
like a Jrpg but with cars.
Mastering a car and track just isn't "fun" for some, they prefer ramps, hot wheels style loops, smashing in to other drivers sending them flying off the road, driving through a gas station, blowing it up and getting xp bonuses.... Besides testing your skills and limits, customizing, collecting and learning about cars is very satisfying especially when the cars feel like your own and not rentals. It's no fault of the game if you don't find those things enjoyable, you just have different expectations compared to what the game is actually about, and maybe the game is dare I say too mature/serious for such a person.
@Nesstark88 Am I wrong or does the PS4 already have 2 real sims with Project Cars and Assetto Corsa? Those only lack the outstandin graphics GT has; the demo should finally show us if there's something under the brilliant surface.
Hand me a box of Kleenex to wipe up
HOLY Sh*t that has to be rendered on a ps4pro if its not I am expecting the most pretty game to have ever graced my eyes, I am so downloading the demo now (remote downloads are awesome)
Don't have a PS4 Pro but even on a regular PS4 the screensaver of the demo looks pretty incredible. Really looking forward to trying it out after work today!
