It’s been rumoured for a little while, but DOOM VFR will have full PlayStation VR Aim Controller support. Sony’s likeable virtual reality accessory originally released with Farpoint, and gives you unprecedented control in first-person shooter games. Judging by a GameSpot livestream, the way it works in id Software’s grisly shooter is by placing one weapon in your hands, while you still have access to a grenade launcher via head-tracking on your shoulder.
As for the game itself, it has the same spirit as last year’s brilliant DOOM reboot, but it is an all-new experience for PlayStation VR. It’s due out on 1st December in both Europe and North America.

Really looking forward to this one, and great news about the aim controller support.
Great news and also farpoint is getting pvp update
@Heynow Just seen that actually, thanks!
This will be epic. Can’t wait!
I love the aim controller. If you used it once you can hardly play a shooter without it anymore. Preordered Doom VR weeks ago.
Is there any news on the movement within DooM? Is it still teleport walking?
what the point of AIM support if it only
gonna use teleportation and 180 degree turning, i'll get End of the Begining instead,
Big question... multiplayer???
@YETi Yes, it is, but mainly because the teleportation is what was in mind when they made the game. I heard that the teleportation almost feels cooler than running around does, kind of like you have a superpower.
This and Skyrim seem like exactly the sort of big, meaty experiences people will pay good money to play in VR. Let's hope we see more of this sort of support over time.
I watched three minutes of a ten minute gameplay video. I don't see how this can be any kind of fun at all. I actually felt bad for the demons as they stand in place motionless waiting for you to line up your teleport arrow, only to have you appear behind them and gib them point blank.
I hope it's successful and all, but I truly hope this isn't the future direction for VR.
@Totaldude911 thank you for the reply but it's sounds like the marketing department have been involved in that description. 😉I will reserve judgement for now but the doom marine needs to be running down UAC corridors blasting the frig out of anything that moves. I know what doom should be and the teleport movement just sounds so lame which is a real shame. 😣
@YETi Wow... Haha after reading what I wrote, it really does sound like that. Yeah, I really think it should be an option to run quickly like in the real game. Just needs a lot of motion-sickness warnings for the less-experienced.
