IO Interactive Hints at New Hitman Sequel

The newly independent IO Interactive is working on a new Hitman game, which it seems won’t be a second season for its already successful reboot but instead an entirely new title. As part of a blog post celebrating the release of its recent Game of the Year edition, boss Hakan Abrak said that it’s making “great progress” on a successor but doesn’t plan to talk about it until 2018.

“We have exciting new features and some franchise firsts, which we can't wait to tell you all about,” he teased, before thanking players for their support. “Your support will directly help us to continue on our independent journey towards the next Hitman game and beyond,” he wrote.
