Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night are apparently ready, or at least almost ready, to rock onto the dance floor. According to producer Kazuhisa Wada, who appears in the latest issue of Famitsu, the development cycle of both games has reached its "climax", so we could be getting a release date in the near future.
At the time of writing, the titles are scheduled to launch early next year in Japan, and we're still awaiting any mention of a Western release. That aside, it's nice to hear that everything is going smoothly. Here's hoping that they turn out to be as enjoyable as their predecessor, Persona 4 Dancing All Night.

I'm honestly curious about how many spin-offs we'll get before we see Persona 6. The gap between 4 and 5 was too long, I think.
Hoping for localization.
Will be getting both for the vita.
Persona 5 has a really strong cast, but it pales in comparison to Persona 3 imo. Hoping for a summer release. January-March is packed enough as it is.
@DerMeister Fortunately I don't think they'll wait that long again — Persona 5 was a big hit for Atlus and I'm sure they'll want to establish a more regular timeline for each new release.
Or at least, that's what I'm hoping.
@sinalefa They'll definitely come West, I think. SEGA's surprisingly good at bringing its games over these days and Persona's on a bit of roll. Just a question of how soon they make the jump.
@ShogunRok Yeah, I hope so. I don't mind the spin offs, but there was plenty during the gap, and I think it got old after a while, even though they're enjoyable games.
@ShogunRok
Never played the previous one as I dont have a Vita. So even if digital only (like the latest Miku game) I will gladly take them.
@sinalefa Dancing All Night was great, I always wondered why they didn't bother porting it to PS4.
Im so excited. The last game was amazing so I've been following these since day one. I just hope the vita versions get boxed releases. Want to know more about both too as I understand the story mode from P4: DAN has been replaced with something else
@ShogunRok honestly, I think it's simply that Persona 4 Golden was on vita so they probably figured that was where the biggest audience for the game would be. Couple that with the fact that the Hatsune Miku games sold so well on the portable, plus they were able to utilise the touch screen.
I tried it out on pstv and I struggled to play it with the bigger screen due to not being able to focus on the whole screen at once like I could on vita. I imagine these games will be designed in a more TV friendly way for the ps4.
@DerMeister I think they are already working on it. Once these and persona Q 2 are out, I reckon they will be fully focused on the next in the series. The reception for P5 was unprecidented for the series and they will want to tap into that
While I can see the P4 cast acting all silly. It's just too weird for me to see the P3 and P5 cast dancing without a care in the world. I don't know if I'll buy it but I will definitely be getting the P3 Dancing Moon Night soundtrack since I can't get enough of Lotus Juice!
@Rob_230
Miku games still got dual releases except for Future Tone that was PS4 only. They ported so many Vita games and exclusives it is surprising they skipped PS4's biggest install base.
Hoping for some cool remixes.
Life will Change, Mass Distruction, basically everything, both soundtracks are ace.
Just finished p5 and i need something to fill the void so this is perfect!
We need persona 5 arena, and persona 3 & 4 remaster on ps4
