Not much debate for me here - just hope Goro manages to get the lead over Handsome Jack. Great character from a great PlayStation series.

Majima vs Handsome Jack was a tough one!

As much as I love Yakuza & Majima, I had to give it to Jack because he has a diamond pony named Butt Stallion.

Hope Kat comes out on top here. She needs a win .

Handsome jack honestly saved the second borderlands and made the game for me.

I don’t think these will be as close as last week. Although Majima vs Jack may get pretty tight. In my mind, Kat takes the field on this set.

I recently bought Yakuza 0 (my first one) and I'm sorry Jack but Majima San FTW

@get2sammyb House is the main villain from Fallout New Vegas, definitely forgettable unless you've played through the game half a dozen times

@RedMageLanakyn @get2sammyb He's pretty much the best character in the game despite being (mostly) a static face on a screen. His writing is superb in a game already stuffed with good writing.

@Tsurii It would be a pretty dire tournament if we only included first party or exclusive characters.

Jill, King, Goro and Kat.

@Tsurii There are a lot of characters who have only appeared on PlayStation platforms, for sure, but it's more the fact that our pool of potential games would shrink dramatically. We'd end up with basically every character from Uncharted, every character from Ratchet and Clank, etc, etc. And we'd be missing out on characters who are synonymous with PlayStation despite the fact being the property of third party publishers, like Crash Bandicoot or Cloud Strife.

We've limited it to a maximum of three characters per franchise because we wanted to keep it balanced more than anything, otherwise there's the danger of say, having an entire round made up of nothing but Uncharted and Final Fantasy characters.

Hopefully that all makes sense — we spent a long time debating how we were going to handle this.

In terms of blowouts, the largest margin of victory in the tournament so far belongs to Sully, who beat Cole Phelps by 89% of the vote.

So House isn't quite bottom of the pile... yet.

As much as I love King, I had to throw my vote to House. I think he's one of the best villains in gaming, and it's sad that he's overlooked so often.

Kat? Come on bombermans !!! Let’s take this classic to another round

@ShogunRok Yeah the writing was great, I could just see him being forgettable if you only play once (or even get to him at all, so easy to get sidetracked!)

@LieutenantFatman Good point. 🤔 Unless Push Square is running this tournament by way of a complex electoral college voting system. Although that might explain Majima’s apparent victory as he must be carrying a majority in a greater set of predetermined countries or regions of weighted importance and therefore flipped the result by a strategic rounding up of electoral points in an overly complicated system that seems to not make any sense. 😉

Based on the match ups and the characters that are left, I have feeling that Cloud's going to reach the semi-finals at the very least.
