Three Fields Entertainment is a small development studio that's headed up by a few of the figures responsible for the Burnout series, so we're very interested in what they make. So far, games like Dangerous Golf, Lethal VR, and the Crash Mode-esque Danger Zone have been fun distractions, but we've been waiting for the studio to unveil its true spiritual successor to Burnout.
A report from Eurogamer states that Three Fields is actually making two games. The first is Danger Zone 2, a bigger, more feature-packed sequel to last year's slight but fun crash-em-up. It features real life locations and roads, and a slightly bigger emphasis on driving. It's out next month on PS4, and you can take a look at it below.
However, the bigger news is that the studio is also making Dangerous Driving, a closed circuit arcade racer that sounds an awful lot like an old-school Burnout game. It's set to feature boosting, crashing, and exploding when it launches on PS4 at the end of 2018.
Are you excited to hear news of Dangerous Driving? Have you been waiting for a spiritual successor to Burnout? Crash and burn in the comments below.

Is it weird that this news excites me more than anything I saw out of E3?
@Tedikuma Nope. I just wish it had a better, more memorable name. 'Dangerous Driving' sounds like a throwaway mobile game. You know, the type that could have some spyware hidden in it.
the problem is that three fields waited too long. "Dangerous Driving" is a dumb title. I'm slightly interested, but less so, since if it doesn't excite me, I'll just get Burnout Remastered. sorry 3FE
Well, name aside, I'm game for a new gen Burnout.
I really liked Danger Zone and nearly platinumed it. The levels were quite well designed. I'm interested in both of these new games.
I got confused and thought they were working on a game called Beyond Cars. That was Criterion though. I also found out that project was canceled. Oh well.
Yeah, besides the name, this is good news. I love old school Burnout.
Burnout 2 remaster please!
How about calling the new game, "Outburn"?
Almost references 2 racing classics for the price of one!
I like how they've released screenshots that use a font that make it look like a Chinese-made mobile knockoff title.
Looks like the kind of ten-a-penny, throw-away titles you get for Android/iOS. Maybe if they charge £1.99 or less.
