BioWare's co-op enabled third-person shooter ANTHEM got a confirmed release date at EA's EA Play press conference, and as promised earlier in the year, it'll be launching in the first quarter of 2019.
We actually got a "deep dive" of ANTHEM during the rather dire presser, with members of the BioWare team going over some details about the game. That said, nothing was really mentioned that we didn't already know. It'll feature four different exosuit models -- called Javelins -- that you can swap between before you head out on missions, either alone or with up to three other players.
Anyway, ANTHEM launches on the 22nd February, 2019 -- that's the same date as PlayStation 4 exclusive Days Gone.

So, which will review and sell better, Days Gone, or Anthem?
so still just a destiny clone overall?
the sad thing is that days gone will lose sales because of this thing.
i do however think that days gone MIGHT review better though.
It doesn't look bad tbh
Maybe Microsoft will reveal actual gameplay of Anthem in their presser tomorrow. EDIT Whoops my bad, there is actually footage of live demo gameplay up. I fell asleep during the show...
@SlimDrizzyLamar Anthem can be played solo as well.
I had to go back and watch the trailer from last year to make sure they didn't just show the same footage again.
@SlimDrizzyLamar Me too, Days Gone all the way. I would like to know if I can play Anthem like a single-player game though, probably not.
@SlimDrizzyLamar fair enough, I was never into Destiny myself, I tried a Destiny 1 demo back when I bought my PS4 and I didn't really enjoy it.
you can play some parts of the game solo (story) but all the rest will need other players for sure. so not worth it at all for SP gamers i think.
Way more interested in Days Gone but I think with a slick advertising campaign Anthem might sell loads to the multitude of gamers that probably don't frequent sites like this.
Still feeling kind of hmmmm about anthem...anyone spot the destiny warlock move in the trailer?
Also seems like someone forgot to tell the crowd the presser had actually started..
Game Informer have a hands on impression which adds to my interest....
Disappointing.... and it was going so well before. It just looked like a free-to-play game to me with some production values. It was my favourite game of E3 2017 as well. Oh well, onwards and upwards with a different title instead.
Meh another Destiny clone. I'll be passing on this game.
I went into this trailer thinking, "Okay, so Bioware probably is sick of working on Mass Effect and has a new team that wants to work on something new and fresh!"
But then everything about this trailer just seems so derivative! The gameplay preview was even worse...missions just seem like a bunch of errands and busywork instead of going on some grand adventure or exploring some unknown world.
