Wow, Concrete Genie is shaping up really nicely. The painting PlayStation 4 exclusive, which sees you using a magic wand to bring an abandoned fishing village back to life via vibrant graffiti, was on display during Sony’s E3 2018 livestream earlier today – and we have to say, we’re impressed.

This footage is from early in the game, but it shows how easy it is create beautiful scenes. You’ll also design creatures who will accompany you along the way, and they’ll help you to solve puzzles and even request certain items in each scene.

We have to admit, this is shaping up way better than we ever envisioned; there’s a good balance between raw creativity and purposeful progression, which should please both artists and those looking for a more traditional game experience.
