Got to be Aloy, the ability to take down giant robo-dinosaurs with only a bow and arrow is more impressive (although Kats anti-grav skills are pretty spectacular too).

If Kat wins this one it's officially rigged.

Gravity Rush 2 servers are going down in a couple of weeks, so I’m voting for Kat.

I’m a sucker for a good underdog story.

I voted Kat in the previous round since it was obvious that she was going to lose really badly, but she deserved to have some votes. Suffice to say, I'm not making that same mistake again this time.

My vote for this week goes to Aloy. It doesn't get much cooler than fighting robot dinosaurs with a bow and arrow.

Well, I guess we've come this far. Wasn't expecting the crazy amount of votes, but I really do like Gravity Rush.

And hopefully some Aloy Twitter fans come to the mix and make it real exciting and fun, then see if an arrow can hit the apple or miss.

How does a fanbase coming together to vote for one character constitute as rigging when literally any other fanbase is as capable of doing the same?

If there's one person who's making bot accounts and voting again and again, then sure, the vote is "rigged." But is that what's happening? Hopefully the admin/mods here are able to detect such activity.

Yeah, no. After all the drama in the comments that happened last poll, none of the big names (and I use "big" relatively considering how tiny the community is) on GR twitter are gonna promote the poll anymore, so you can stop blaming them for THIS particular matchup.

Anyway, voting for Kat, obvi. Aloy's about as interesting as a plank of wood. Replace her with one and it'd probably do just as good a job of killing robo-dinos.

Her game's fun tho.

I love both, but I voted Aloy.
But damn, Horizon and Gravity Rush 2 are among my favorite games ever.

A bit harsh I think, she's certainly not the most cheerful soul, but considering her circumstances, I think that's understandable. She has far more personality than the average video game character, even if it's not one you enjoy.

@LieutenantFatman Maybe I'm just hard to please, then, because this "far above-average" personality still falls really short of anything I'd consider good. Or entertaining.

Like, 2B's a character who shows far less personality — or, really, much of any emotion — than Aloy and yet she's what I'd consider a good, interesting character, because there's always a hint of something lying just beneath the surface, and then you get to the big plot twist and you can suddenly see the double-meaning behind every dismissive comment and every insistence that emotions are prohibited. In contrast, whatever personality Aloy is supposed to have doesn't end up coming off as intentional, just... underwritten.

But that's just my opinion, and you know what they say about those.

Certainly can't please everyone. For me, two of gaming's most popular characters, Mario and Master Chief are the most bland & uninteresting in existence. And yet, there are so many who love them, so who am I to judge? Opinions, as you say.

Anyway, I'm kinda annoyed that she could win this and end up winning as the Ultimate PlayStation Character. She's not even close to the best PlayStation character IMO... =/

As far as Aloy vs Kat goes, I simply prefer Aloy as character. I think she is well developed, I love playing as her and her game is awesome. She also resonated quite well with the PlayStation community, becoming an icon within the brand really fast.

And in my second statement, what I meant was that Kat is not the face of PlayStation, you know. She's a nice character and all, but there are others who come a lot stronger in my mind when I think about an Ultimate PlayStation Character. For example, I love Kingdom Hearts, it's one of my favorite series in gaming and I grew up playing as Sora; he's an awesome character as are many others within the KH universe, but neither him nor any of the others come to me when I think of what defines PlayStation. Think of Super Mario vs Pikmin's Omar (I think that was his name) on Nintendo; Omar can be nice and all, but Super Mario simply pops up in everyone's minds when it comes to Nintendo.

Personally, I believe Ellie (from TLoU) is the most interesting and significant character in PlayStation's portfolio right now. She's really well developed and only going further in Part 2, she's part of one of the most ambitious stories PS has ever told in gaming, and she's a female gay lead which shouldn't be a big deal, but happens to be given, you know, how far we still need to go in respecting and accepting people for who they are.

However, when it comes to thinking about a character that is tied strongly to PlayStation brand, there's no one like Nathan Drake. He's the one that started it all for Sony's portfolio IMO; his game put Naughty Dog in the map again - every development studio in the world started building storytelling into their games after Uncharted. And he's widely recognized, certainly not as much as Super Mario, Link or Donkey Kong, but at least as far as PS goes.

It all comes to personal taste in the end, but IMHO, the title of Ultimate PlayStation Character goes to Nate.

@BladeRider 90% of the reason I voted Kat is simply because I believe she is the superior character through and through. I enjoyed Horizon, but personality-wise I found Aloy to be very limp.

10% of the reason is because Aloy knocked out Trico, Victor and Cloud, all of whom I love. Ratchet is pretty cool too.

I doubt they'll want to put some extra work into just a silly popularity poll.

This happened before when it was Kat v Kratos. There was a vote being added every minute in favour of Kratos and it was blatantly the work of a bot. What threw a spanner in the works is that the person responsible didn't realise voting ended prematurely, so it was all for nothing.

Honestly, if the mods here can't detect votes made by bot accounts, then yeah, this whole poll has been rendered irrelevant.

Gravity rush really is an underrated series, it could use another win! Kat forever ♡!!

The poll Kat vs Kratos currently has kat with 465 votes and kratos 498. Ending with a total of 963.
Looks like Kratos wasn't the only one using bots.
Looking at other character polls, the usual polls attract 230 votes at best.
Polls that include Kat get over 250 total votes and even over 300.
Matches in the same round also got a lot of extra votes.

Kat does attract a lot of new voters from twitter but nothing too extreme.
It's only the Kat vs Kratos and the Kat vs Aloy poll when the numbers suddenly explode.
Currently Aloy has 313 votes and Kat 261.
Each character enough votes that's usually as high or even higher than a normal match.

There is definitely something fishy going on here

Don't forget a lot of Kat's voters were new accounts that came from twitter.
If that rule was implemented in the poll then Kat would have never got this was.

I'm ok with that, the better person should win.

@sea_cucumber If you're implying that Kat used bots in Kat v Kratos, I highly doubt it. After the suspiciously sudden rise in Kratos votes, the GR twitter community rallied again because they were nervous that votes after the deadline could somehow affect the end result. One such person who brought attention to this is a particularly big artist in the community with over 20,000 followers, so it doesn't surprise me that she was able to get an extra 200 votes off of that. If there had been bots on top of all that, I bet she'd have stayed on top of that matchup the whole way through.

I thought the numbers looked suspicious but a popular artist and their twitter army seems like a good explanation.
A majority of those Kat voters seem to be absent from this poll though, that's what makes me suspicious.
I guess they only voted once and never bothered to check the poll again.

@sea_cucumber After all the drama this stirred up, the "big" (as big as big can be in a tiny community for a niche franchise) names in GR's community decided not to promote the poll anymore. A lot of these voters probably relied on these big names to remind them that this thing even existed, so your assumption that they only voted once and never checked again is most likely accurate.

Admittedly I was one of the new accounts made back in Kat vs Kratos. But hey, I'm sticking around!

Kat really has a cute and quirky personality so i'll stick with voting for her, hopefully she can pull through in these last moments ><);;

Funny how the GR community has been supportive of Kat without insulting the other characters and their communities and somehow that attract a bunch of toxic people ready to insult her and the community only because their favorite character is loosing. Well if those characters are so good, where is the support? i mean if they are more popular then logically they should have more votes, but i guess people actually don't care about them as much as all of you think.

which was the point. we love kat and gravity rush
for many it is a game that has marked a before and after in our lives as gamers. I love sony franchises, but gravity rush is special to me.
