Now that's a battle, as much as I love Nate as a character I have to go with Snake, the MGS series is one of my favourite in gaming & Snake was a PS Icon long before Nate was dreamed up

I can't believe this is the penultimate round. It's all gonna be over soon

For those wondering, here's the lowdown on Kat losing the last round to Aloy.

BOTH characters seemed to receive bot votes. This means someone on each side was making fake Push Square accounts just so they could vote. I went through the votes in detail.

There was a point where Aloy started getting a large influx of fair votes, and this is what pushed her over the edge.

Kat did come back into it, but it wasn't quite enough. At midnight last night, Aloy scraped it with 51% of the vote. There were only 12 votes between them.

All in all it was still a hugely popular match. Thanks everyone who voted fairly!

I surprised myself and went with Nathan Drake. MGS3 is my fave Metal Gear and Solid ain't in that one.

Well, I'm voting for Nate. Really thought Sully would have made it further. Sully vs Nate and I think I would seriously consider choosing Sully.

Sad about the bot thing, but I guess for the next "Ultimate Poll" they can setup requirements, eg you have to make a comment on every poll or your account has to be verified to vote.

But Aloy is worthy of winning, so lets keep it fun!

This is such a tough matchup.

I'm going with Snake. I love Nate, but Snake has been around my life longer. Ahh, I still remember booting up MGS4 when I first got my PS3 all those years ago. It was so mind blowing.

That and MGS1 was crazy all those years ago as well.

I won't lie, I'm super salty that there was only a 12 vote difference between Kat and Aloy in the end.

Metal Gear Solid on PS1 is one of my fondest gaming memories. Found it at a Goodwill for $5 a week after release and played through that game so many times. 5 or 6 times at least. Snake's long history with PS puts him over the top for me.

So Drake really is a snake beater.

Tough choice, both excellent characters. Being an avid climber, I was tempted to give it to Drake on that alone, but I had to go with Snake in the end.

I like Nate, but Snake gets my vote. I don't care if Metal Gear isn't exclusive to PlayStation. Snake is a better character in my eyes, and I like Metal Gear more than Uncharted. It's a hard vote, but I can't go against Snake.

@RogerRoger You give a convincing argument. Too bad I already voted for Nate. He leaves a little more of an instant impression due to his wry humor and awh-shucks, shirt half-tucked every-man adventuresome attitude. Mainly the sense of humor is what endears him to people.
But when you analyze the characters like you did, it’s hard to put him above Snake. Oh well, I can’t change my vote now. I love both characters!

MGS was my first PS game ever and basically is what got me hooked to the console. Can't get more iconic than Snake when it comes to PS.

@kyleforrester87 I played it until it expects you to grind and wander around a huge field. Same as other FF games. Except 13 which is clearly the best because you can play straight through that one.

After this is done we should vote on who is the winner of the losers. Kind of like the world cup. This poll was awesome and got me to register.

Well someone who can say that has never played the game or is a idiot at least thats what i think. 😉

I think some tend to jump to the conclusion a character has no personality when they have a deep gravelly voice. But Snake has plenty of personality as does Geralt, you just have to give them a chance.

@sea_cucumber Any bot votes that we could pick out, we did. And yes, other polls had bot votes too.

In fact, Kat's had the most bot votes out of anyone else in the tournament. Support from her fans was still enough to get her through previous rounds, but a lot of her results were bolstered by unfair votes.

I knew Liquid Snake was behind this. He is calling his amry of genome soldiers to defeat snake in this poll.

@Kaijufanatic Well there are certain ways we can tell if spam accounts are being made, so it's not a huge problem overall. We'll know if something weird is going on, put it that way.

Shame people are doing that. It’s an internet pole people. There will be no real cookies handed out to fictional characters at the end. It’s worse than Sammy and Persona 5.

Wow, tough one. But I went with Drake.

I've only played as Snake on his 3DS game and on Smash Bros. Brawl. So while I love both of these characters, being a PlayStation exclusive makes Nathan Drake more worthy of winning the title of Ultimate Playstation Character.

That said, I'm still rooting for Aloy to win the whole thing!
