You’ve got to respect Sean Murray. Hello Games’ lead man may have spoken out of turn around the launch of No Man’s Sky, but the developer has had to deal with an Internet backlash unlike any other seen before. That he even continues to get out of bed is a testament to his strength of character, but he’s actually found the motivation to iterate and improve upon the exploratory space sim’s original build, making it better than it’s ever been before.
And one fan has paid tribute to that by immortalising the director’s face within the game. Using a series of tiles, Roland Oberheim built a mural on of the title’s many planets, which is so large that it can only be viewed from overhead. It’s a fitting tribute for a man who up until recently was in contact with the police over very real death threats due to the release's well documented issues.

Got there in the end Sean old buddy old pal
That’s cool, followed the Twitter link for more info.
The game is better, yes! But they still can make it better and I hope they do so!
But now it's really enjoyable honestly (despite having to refuel the f**************** launch truster)
Man, that's gunna get ripped to shreds.
Brilliant! Also, nice ship.
I have reinstalled it but finding the time to give it a go is hard... So many games so little time...
It's a God-awful Internet affair
To the Sean with the mousy hair
But hello games is yelling no
And Sony has told him to go
But his friend is nowhere to be seen
Now he walks through his third major patch
To the seat with the clearest view
And he's hooked to the silver screen
But the launch game was a saddening bore
Coz gamers have grinded ten times or more
He could spit in the eyes of fools
As they told him to focus on
Trolls fighting in the dance hall
Oh man, look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the Jim Sterling
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man, wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best selling show
Is there life on Sean?
@Rudy_Manchego Hahahha, man you are a legend!
That's more interesting than any of the planets I've been to since NEXT dropped.
'Got to respect' is a bit far. Making up for your error is what should be expected, not applauded. You don't praise a criminal for completing community service, you get on with life.
@Rudy_Manchego genius!! 🤣👏👏👏
It's still randomly crashing on me. Fired it up for the first time in two years after this Next thing update, and the two patches that have come with it. Most of the times it's crashed is when entering a planet's atmosphere.
The most annoying thing about it is how it makes my PS4 Pro howl like a banshee. It's so loud that I put headphones on so that the volume of the game, trying to play above the roar of the fan, doesn't disturb my neighbour.
Saying that he can probably hear the bloody fan.
