You wait a while for some good work simulators, and a couple arrive all at once. Hot on the heels of the very likeable Train Sim World, Astrogen has announced that Bus Simulator will make a stop on the PlayStation 4 next year. The popular public transport experience will be playable with a DualShock 4 for the first time ever at Gamescom 2018 next week.
According to the press release, Bus Simulator “will offer players the unique opportunity to create their own bus company in the fictional European city of Seaside Valley and establish a veritable bus empire with official licensed buses by well-known brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Setra, MAN, and IVECO BUS.”
The press release continues: “Another highlight of Bus Simulator on consoles will be the game’s multiplayer mode, which will offer players the unique opportunity to create and manage a bus company with up to three other virtual drivers. Together they can set out to complete numerous missions, expand the city's new bus network, unlock and develop new city districts, drive alongside each other in co-operative convoy trips, or utilize the ticket inspector mode, which will allow one player to drive the bus while a colleague checks the passenger’s tickets or assists in the many in-bus events such as customers listening to loud music or blocking the doors.”
We don’t know about you, but we’ve already booked our tickets ahead of launch next year.

Yes!!!
For some reason that Desert Bus game comes to mind when I hear about this.
This looks interesting (I'm not being sarcastic) and is definitely on my radar. I've been enjoying Train Sim World on PS4 - it may not have the best graphics but it's a good, relaxing game to chill out with. Great to see more of these sorts of games FINALLY coming to consoles.
I may get this game simply as a tutorial to educate the local Transport Board how to efficiently run a bus company.
As with all of these games, I am interested, probably won't buy, but would be utterly on board if I was able to make things realistic by being awful at it, inspiring strikes, constant delays, soaring prices etc.
I want a Halton Transport edition with buses full of p**sheads at the back trying to burn away the loose threads on their stained cardigans with a disposable lighter, and teen mums at the front munching on a greggs pasty while effing and blinding at their kids.
@ApostateMage I'd buy it...
“...establish a veritable bus empire...”
Words I never would have expected to be used in the same sentence.
