One of the games featured in Sony’s recent China Hero Project montage, Kill X looks like a low-budget Resident Evil wannabe in this 25 minute PlayStation VR gameplay walkthrough, captured by DualShockers. On display at ChinaJoy 2018 this week, English language support has been confirmed, despite the fact there’s no word on a Western launch yet.
The demo essentially depicts an ill-advised trip into an abandoned mine, with weapons ranging from an AK-47 to a modified nail gun. There is some exaggerated screaming in the stream, so you’ve been warned.

It looks cool as a VR game. It had my interest.
Honestly, if the game doesn't cost $30 or more, then I don't mind the game being a RE7 wannabe. Besides, what did you expect? I'm pretty sure just because China Hero Project is funding Lost Soul Aside, that doesn't mean every game that it's funding will reach the exact same calibur as that game. I mean, have you even played The Walker or Animal Force, two other (mediocre) titles from China Hero Project?
To be honest, for a VR title, they could have done worse. My only gripes with it are the melee combat and the muddy textures. For the most part, it doesn't look too bad. I've definitely seen worse, like Weeping Doll, Paranormal Activity, Walker, etc.
We all have to start somewhere. 👍
Doesn't look too bad. I've seen wannabes far worse than this one.
Could be good if they fix the jittery move controller motion. Except of course the guy playing had a bad case of tremors.
