The next issue of Official PlayStation Magazine will feature a hands on preview for Red Dead Redemption 2, meaning that we’re just about a month away from learning more about how Rockstar’s latest plays. The label did showcase the first gameplay from the hotly anticipated Western earlier this month, but now it looks like it’s about to let the media get their greasy hands on the sequel, too.
The game may be due out in October, but we still have so many questions about it. What are the controls like, for example? How big is the map? Do you still need to mash the X button to sprint? (Please, if there’s any God, please say no.) We doubt OPM will be the only peeps to get their hands on the game, so hopefully there’ll be a ton more coverage coming our way over the coming weeks.

You won't need to mash X to sprint in Red Dead Redemption 2.
You'll have to shake the controller up and down instead.
@Acquiescence
There should be a bank robbery mission where you can loot all the money rockstar have made from GTA 5. Good job they are a gang of 7!
@get2sammyb shake down and up by sprint is pretty awful
@Acquiescence lol that pretty dumb by won't mash button to sprint.. shake controller up and down is very dumb to do that
You have to make little legs with your pointer and middle finger and "run" on the touch pad lolol.
Included in the super duper special edition are a tiny pair of chaps that you slip onto your fingers lolol
@Acquiescence I played it and yes it's true.
Also to throw dynamite you have to throw your controller the same number of meters you want in the game
boy oh boy
Im just glad people hate tapping X to sprint as much as I do!
I'm curious if there will be a first person mode, hopefully so.
Still very cautious about this game. RDR is a tough act to follow and I was less than impressed with GTA V.
