Spider-Man is out, that's how I feel about it.
I'm still playing the base Destiny 2 game but the Forsaken update has made even that much better. Until I buy any of the expansions, I'll forever be a level 20 but I'm still enjoying it. The pew pew is top notch.
Honestly, is there a real reason you need the prior expansions to play this? Because it doesn’t seem like you need curse of Osiris to play warmind. I’ll probsbly never play it because of that, and it’s sad cause I was interested in trying Forsaken.
When I get home, I just want to cry and go to sleep, so no, I haven't played it.
@kyleforrester87 U ok hun?
@Johnnycide PM me x
I can say im loving it the story was nuts utterly nuts and the new supers are insane
I liked both Destiny. Tons of fun with my cousins. I'm knee deep in DQXI right now but I'll play it sooner or later.
Hunting the Barons was probably the most fun I've had with Destiny 2 so far.
@Bliquid I got it on PS Plus and have only been playing it a week. I'm sure if I paid Full price for it I'd be disappointed.
I am still unable to purchase this expansion, despite having completed the base game and the two previous expansions and attempting to purchase it through various means, and despite trying Sony and Bungies solutions. I therefore cannot comment, but have become disillusioned enough with Bungie to give up trying to buy Forsaken any more.
I don't trust Activision after their launch debacle. Jim Sterling gave the og launch an 8 out of 10, but then promptly turned on it when bungie locked people out of events and started throttling experience points to push microtransactions. I'm staying as far away as possible from "live services".
@Bliquid - i played the vanilla campaign (which i didn't think was very good to be honest) and some of the miscellaneous activities (all the strikes, etc.) and had a character around power level 250 or so before i gave the disc back to the friend i borrowed it from. since it was on PS+, i tried it again with the changes implemented by forsaken, and i find it's really detrimental to the base game if you already played it. upgrading is such a pain now.. getting legendaries/exotics is pretty worthless since infusing them to power them up requires so much resources it's not worth it.. practically forces you to dismantle them and stick with the blue engram junk at higher level. the old mod system is gone, so you won't able to increase gear by an extra 5 points, limiting your power level to about 300 i think (people with forsaken will be running around with 450-500). then again i thought the taken king completely ruined the original destiny - and i actually bought that dlc. i expected the same dodgy practices with D2, and it's been confirmed from my experience, which is why TKK was the last time i spent money on destiny.
Forsaken looks great but it's too expensive for me.
I'm tempted to pick it up but I just can't bring myself to drop $80(in Canada) for two crap expansions and one good one. I think I'll wait until I can get all of it for about $20 a year from now.
I didn't think the addition of a bow was gonna work. I was wrong.
Also feels weird wearing blue rarity gear again. I feel like a tramp changing my coat, sorry chest piece, every 10 minutes when I come across a new one.
Honestly it's been fun, and the bow feels great in both pvp and pve. There is a LOT of hidden content in the Dreaming City, and the enemies have certainly been given a boost which makes things more challenging.
I think it comes down to whether you’re a casual or a diehard fan. Casuals will have to actually grind more and that will be a turn off. As a diehard I like the grind and the challenge. Gambit is an awesome game mode. There are more ways to keep increasing levels than before as well. Good stuff Bungie.
I loved D1. I played with people I met randomly who I now play other games with. D1 was always fun and a good laugh. When the expansion packs first came out, I bought the first one. When I played it I felt the lack of content made it a rip off and even more of a rip off when they brought out the next. By the time TTK was released I was sick of it. I didn't buy TTK.
I did buy D2. Now I'm at the stage again of trying to decide whether to go back to the grind. Forsaken looks decent. I'm not going to lie I am tempted but the fact is, having to buy the first 2 DLC's is putting me off. At this moment in time I think I might manage to persuade myself to pass and get Spiderman or possibly Horizon Zero Dawn as I've still not played that.
@TorPip50 honestly it’s not too expensive for what’s here. Having just reached the Dreamin City in my own game, this expansion easily has more content than TTK. For $40 you’ll get your money worth. Then you can later decide if you want the additional season pass. There really is a lot of stuff to do in Forsaken.
I'll probably get into next year when they release the collection with the 2nd big expansion. There's just too many good games coming out this year and next that actually respect their customers and games as an art form. I.e. Dragon Quest, Spiderman, Days Gone, Fist of the North Star, Valkyria Chronicles 4, and so on.
@shafedog247
If I am honest the yearly pass will add a huge amount of content based on what happened yesterday after worlds first on the raid it was nuts but I wont post spoilers to avoid spoiling it for people
