Marvel’s Spider-Man has done well at Japanese retail, registering 290,875 units as of this week’s Media Create report – but what about on the PlayStation Store? Famitsu has revealed that in the period spanning 27th August to 30th September (the game launched on 4th September), the title shifted a very impressive 95,120 units. That means that the title will be comfortably around 400k units now, which is a staggering statistic.
Digital sales actually look decent in the region, with God of War III Remastered racking up 67,313 units in September following a promotion on the PlayStation Store early in the month. PES 2019: Pro Evolution Soccer also did okay, selling 35,841 units digitally compared to 114,777 units at retail – so just under a third. We know that ratios are slowly beginning to shift away from physical here in the West, and it seems like Japan is also catching on.
