Bethesda's prepared to support Fallout 76 for a long, long time, according to the ever talkative Pete Hines. The Bethesda boss has told GameSpot that the developer plans on sticking with the online only title "as long as people keep playing it and it shows no sign of slowing down".
"How long is [Fallout 76] going to be up? Forever," Hines says. "I don't know how to give an answer other than that. It's not like anybody makes a game and goes, 'Well this is going to make it for 10 years if we're lucky.' Nobody thinks that way."
Obviously no one's expecting Fallout 76's servers to stay on forever, but it's clear that Betheda's willing to play the long game. And going by how unimpressed we were with the recent beta, long term support is probably a good thing.
"Once we get to private servers or whatever happens in the years following; I don't know. Maybe there's a point where it doesn't matter. But ... this is a massive franchise and a massive undertaking, and our commitment to it is it is never-ending, and that it continues on an ongoing basis," Hines reiterates.

Support will need to be never-ending if they hope to squash all the bugs
Unless it bombs.
My support for the game will be never starting
I remember Capcom saying the same with MvC:Infinite...
So we can expect the next instalment of fallout sometime in the next 10 years. First elder scrolls and now this garbage! Franchises becoming a once in a lifetime experience.
Remember when Fallout 4 was 400 hours long but it just ended up being the same defend the settlement mission
Im Just not excited for this game
So at some point they will make the game fun?
@Boxmonkey
Regarding new games.
Naughty Dog has released 1.5 games this gen.
Rockstar 1
Sucker Punch 1
Media Molecule 0
This gen has been different compared to the PS3 gen. PS3 gen was awesome.
Didn't we hear similar sentiments to Destiny.
'Pinch of salt' springs to mind.
I will look into some support teams that will support the support of Bethesda but beyond that support the support may actually never be able to support itself to play this joke of a game
@bindiana That made me laugh bro, I'm with you on that ^^
They say this now, but lots of developers talk about how they want to make games like these last, and then drop support when next year's holiday release shows up.
None of their games are ever fixed. I still have a stuck, destroyed, helicopter in the sky, in Fallout 4. Of course it will be never ending.
