Oh right, there’s a Streets of Rage 4 game in development! Wow, what a crazy year 2018 has been! Anyway, to celebrate the New Year, publisher Dotemu and developer Lizardcube have released a bunch of hot off the press screenshots as part of an IGN First article – and the project’s looking really good.

streets of rage best sega genesis games ever.word up son
Optimistic, and my expectations are about as in check as possible, but really how good can a game like this be these days? I think people are inevitably going to be disappointed.
The worst thing they can do is mess up the soundtrack.

@kyleforrester87 the soundtrack so far has been Rock. As the game which got me into Techno I'm bit miffed tbf.
The art itself looks great, but I wanna see it in motion.

My guess is this will release sometime in April/May.

No it doesn't. I want to like it because I'm a massive Streets of Rage fan, but everything I've seen/read seems terrible to me. The Remake by Bomber Games was a great sequel that seems far better suited to being called Streets of Rage 4. But perhaps that's just nostalgia talking.

Back to the game though, I'm very excited about this. I regularly play the likes of Streets of Rage, Final Fight and Turtles in Time so this is one for me. Also heard that Die Hard Arcade for the Saturn is a good 3D beat em up so I'll be checking that out too

As long at they have Streets of rage 2 in their minds things should go well.
Remember Double dragon neon we all got super hyped lets hope they do streets of rage 4 amazingly well.
Do justice for one of the most iconic game series of all time and do the sega mega drive proud.
Even though I didn’t finish a single game in the franchise, I still enjoyed every second of what I played. (Though, admittedly, it hasn’t aged gracefully) so I’m really looking forward to this one.
