In ANTHEM, you're free to explore the game's world at your leisure in between missions. As is the case with Destiny, you can pick up smaller quests as you go, or your can just zoom around the map killing enemies and finding potential secrets.
You can get a taste for exploration via IGN's new gameplay video, which we've embedded above. It's unclear exactly how big ANTHEM's world is, but clearly BioWare's goal is to make it feel quite dynamic through public events and boss enemy spawns. Hopefully it all comes together in the finished release.

Looks really nice.
If it (the flying) handles as well as Dark Void - I may just buy it to fly about the place!
Looking better and better
Oh, wait...WHAT? Sh*t, sorry I fell asleep.
Jeez that sent me to sleep. OH dear
Looks good to me I must say
It looks very pretty. I'll give them that.
I read that this game is gonna be on-line only?!
The combat, mechanics and maneuvering all looks brilliant, and what's there is very pretty. But the environments themselves are so, so dull. I really want to like Anthem but I really hope there's a lot more to the game world than we've seen so far. A couple of jungles, caves and massively generic ruins aren't going to cut it.
I finally got EA to let me back into my account so I'm good to go! Day One!
still looks naff. i think EA are a bit more concerned about this than their bullish optimism implies.
