This author unironically loves simulation games, and Bus Simulator is looking like a fare worth paying. Due out this Spring, the title sees you commandeer an up-and-coming public transport company, while simultaneously doing your best Otto impression and getting behind the wheel in a huge open world. No, it’s not exactly a looker, but there’s something strangely satisfying about getting stuck in traffic lights. Right?

Looks strangely calming?! 🤔
Sweet my kind of game looking forward to it !!!
I actually wanted to be a bus driver when I was a little kid. I was fascinated with the driver's ability to navigate those big (to me) buses on the relatively tiny roads of Barbados back in the 80's and 90's. I also loved the sound of the engines as the driver shifted through the gears on flat roads, as the packed buses struggled up hills and used engine braking on steep descents. I just may pick up this game when it drops in the spring.
Is it like Speed 2 but on a bus?
I can do this in GTA5 with the added bonus of peeling caps back on disgruntled passengers.
Is it sad that I want this? 🤔
I was going to get this, but I think I'll wait for the next one.
"but there’s something strangely satisfying about getting stuck in traffic lights. Right?"
As an L.A. Noire player... right. Very strangely satisfying, very strangely. Although I guess it has something to do with a change of pace (in more senses than one) from all the lawless driving we often end up doing in the more GTA-esque driving games.
I remember sitting at the back of a bus one night after work about 15 years ago when some really weird bloke sat next to me in a tight t-shirt and started scratching underneath his jeans. He kept elbowing me. I turned to him and said stop elbowing me and he said I'm sorry I have crabs. I was like wow bro go over and sit next to her and pointed to the girl on another seat with a space. He said no way she's got it worse than me.
I stood up and held onto the handle things by the driver till I got off. Don't get the bus people it's weirdsville.
@themcnoisy Full marks for his honesty though
@themcnoisy heh, try catching the last bus here (12:00am, that sometimes doesn't show up until 1:00am) after waiting in the terminal for over 2 hours. All sorts of weirdos ride the last bus: drunks, slightly mad (studios) people, normal folks who are half asleep, security guards... On top of that the bus driver is driving like a bat out of hell because he has to take the bus back to the main depot after the last run where it'll only have about 3 hours of down time before hitting the road again at 4:00am...
Man I wish I had my own wheels.
No thanks. I can do this and earn $15 an hour plus tips.
Not exactly a looker, but I can see the appeal.
