Here’s an announcement that will at the very least excite Nintendo Life editor Damien McFerran (we think): Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection is coming to the PlayStation 4 later this year. A compilation with online play incorporated by Digital Eclipse, the package will bundle together the following six titles:
- Samurai Shodown
- Samurai Shodown II
- Samurai Shodown III: Blades of Blood
- Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge
- Samurai Shodown V
- Samurai Showdown V Special
Remember that SNK’s new Samurai Shodown title will also launch this summer on the PS4, so there's plenty for fans of this franchise to look forward to. Unfortunately, this author only vaguely remembers playing one of the games on the Panasonic 3DO (really!). Wasn’t there a character in it who essentially attacked by vomiting?

oh yeah.my favorite snk neo geo fighting games.cant wait word up son
With online play. The main ones I’ll be playing are I, II, and IV. I know this site isn’t too high on SNK games, but y’all should review this one when it hits.
Digital Eclipse are very reliable at this sort of thing so it should be good.
Also does anyone think that that PS4 arguably has the greatest collection of fighting games ever now? Aside from the Killer Instincts and Smash Bros I can't think of too many left that are worth mentioning. Maybe the Tekkens
@AdamNovice PS4 definitely has a good amount of fighting games. In those what are you playing this weekend articles I usually mention two or three of them that I might play.
I wish Daraku tenshi: the fallen angels would get a release.
At last i can upgrade my wii copy of samurai shodown anthology lol
Great news though it's about time and long over due.
Strange move though as all these are on the psn store by ACA but it will be nice to have the disc.
Fingers crossed for a Last blade collection & Garou mark of the wolves.
