Atlus confirms
Persona 5: The Royal is launching in Japan later this year, on the 31st October, but what about the West? Fortunately, Atlus hasn't forgotten about us. An enhanced version of Persona 5 with new locations, scenes, characters, and more, The Royal has been confirmed for a 2020 release outside of its homeland.
Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for it to arrive, but at least we have a time frame to work with.

Seriously though, it looks like they added a lot to the base game. Interested in knowing more, shame about it not coming out until next year.

@HungryWolf No, no confirmation on anything like that, but I highly doubt this'll be released as an update or expansion. Almost definitely going to be an entirely new release.

It'll be a long wait, but that might do me some good. I only got to the main ending of Persona 5 just last night, so I could do with a nice long break from Persona.
If it’s going to take then that long to translate It implies the is a significant amount of new content.
My #1 most anticipated game of the new decade then.
Bought the original but never played it yet. Worth just trading (steelbook) and buying this one?
I really wish Atlus would get with the times and do global US release, or same year at least.
