Set to release on PlayStation 4 at some point in 2020, Digimon Survive has received a fully animated opening movie -- and you can watch it right now. The turn based role-playing game sees a group of teenagers survive the trials and tribulations of a mysterious world, that is, of course, inhabited by all kinds of digital monsters.
The title's been built up as something of an important project over at Bandai Namco -- not just for the publisher itself, but for the Digimon property as a whole. Given the success of the recent Digimon Story games here in the West, it's safe to assume that the company's looking to capitalise on Digimon's resurgence. Hopefully Survive is another step in the right direction as far as Digimon video games are concerned.

Digimon game very in quality between excellent and awful. I’m optimistic about it but will read a review first.
I am glad to see this sort of thing still happening. In TV and movies everything is trending toward CG and Live action and in games somewhere, somehow, fully animated movies and cutscenes seem to have become taboo or frowned up. I however have always liked them.
Nice! Keeping my eye on Survive after Cyber Sleuth!
