We’re knee-deep into the summer now, so while the release schedule is looking a little on the lighter side, it’s a good opportunity for you to tick some titles off your backlog. But what are you playing this weekend? Let’s talk it out once more.

Like a fool, I've taken my first steps into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. With so many other games vying for my attention, it's going to be hard to focus. Detroit: Become Human beckons, and I'd like to get a little further in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's first Grand Prix. Where to start?
Liam Croft, Senior Staff Writer
I’ll be cracking open another court case this weekend in Judgment. Sea of Solitude will also get a look in as I work on our review, so check back for that one next week.

I dug out The Ninja Warriors Again on Super Famicom, and while I don't remember what I paid for it, I noticed on eBay its price has skyrocketed as cartridge, instructions and box. I'll also buy PS4 Arcade Archives The Ninja Warriors (TAITO, 1987), all in preparation for The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors releasing soon.
Lloyd Coombes, Reviewer
I’ll be playing Apex Legends to check out the new Season 2 content, while also grinding in Destiny 2 to earn Lumina – a new exotic hand cannon.
Christian Kobza, Contibutor
I'll be spending my US holiday weekend getting caught up by doing a deep dive into the seemingly endless content of Days Gone.
Victor Nowogurski, Moderator
For this holiday weekend, I will be playing a little bit of everything but mainly focusing on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on PS4, Super Mario Maker 2 on the Switch, and a bit of Elder Scrolls Online on the Xbox One, in between barbecuing and firework shows.
A surprising spread from our esteemed team of editors this weekend, then – typical of the slow summer months. But what are you playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

Detroit Become Human
Keep trying to get more Nitro for the Grand Prix in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled.
That and I'll keep trying to complete more levels in Mario Maker 2.
Not much sun here in the NE of Scotland but i'm praising the sun in Dark Souls, Farming souls so i can break my curse and kill the Gaping Dragon. Also started FFVII and Detroit Become Human (joint play with the Mrs) !
Not much game time but I might dip back into my campaign play through of Gears 4, some Phantom Hourglass on DS and if I can start Detroit!
I finally caved and picked up Attack on Titan 2 with the final battle dlc. I'm not sure what happened between the first game and the second, but it just feels awful to play in comparison to the original.
darksiders warmaster edition.dishonorerd definite edition.and valkyria chronicles remaster.word life.eord is bond .word to your mother.word ☝ up son
Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fist of the North Star, and Bloodstained. My two fighting games will be Samurai Shodown and Dead or Alive 6.
Still trying to get past the first boss (on the galleon) in Bloodstained Ritual of the night 😟 also playing CTR nitro fueled, Days Gone, and have got back into Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Update: I finally beat the first boss in Bloodstained after god knows how many attempts! I can move on now 🙂
Smash. Mario Maker 2. Maybe some Splatoon. And, if I'm lucky, Bloodstained on PC.
It's a very Nintendo-heavy weekend for me.
Days Gone for the new challenges, Metro Exodus, which I just bought, and Monster Hunter World, because that game has become a fixed aspect of my life at this point, it seems...
L.A. Noire (Switch) - Coming across pedos is always gross...
Zen Pinball 2 (Vita) - Picked up a new table, so will play over the weekend.
Mirror's Edge (Windows Phone) - On a Let's Play.
Microsoft Flight (Games For Windows) - On a Let's Play.
After playing REmake and Resident Evil 0 for the first time over the past week or so, the itch for Resi is still there... So looks like I'm playing Resident Evil: Code Veronica X for PS2!
God of war for me this weekend, this games has completely pulled me in and I'm desperate for Kratos to give his son a hug. 🤗🤗
Playing bloodstained, defeated the third boss with an inch of miriam life (just like the second boss), it’s easier than the second boss though.
Fire Emblem Awakening, Xenoverse 2, DBFZ. I watched the Broly movie so now I'm in a DB mood at the moment. And Awakening because Three Houses is out soon.
Getting all cyberpunk in Prague with the brilliant and moody Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Clearing up the map on Shadow of the Tomb Raider before doing what I think is the last bit of the story.
Maybe when the tennis is finished I will do a bit more Persona 5. Morgana really is annoying.
Just like last week.... Judgment.
Crash team racing and Horizon Chase Turbo (people are sleeping on that)
Started Bloodstained Ritual of the Night on PS4. It's so much like Castlevania, which is awesome It's great that Michiru Yamane composed the music so it even sounds like Castlevania. Normally bad voice acting would drive me up the wall, but here it just fits.
@wiiware The second boss drove me up the wall. 😂 I finally beat him earlier.
Also started Day of the Tentacle Remastered on Vita as part of my ongoing quest to clear my extensive backlog, but keep going back to Smash Bros. instead.
Sairento: Untethered
Sairento PSVR
Sparc
i dunno honestly, maybe i'll just mess around on the LEGO Harry Potter Collection
Judgment, close to 30 hours in and I'm only up to chapter 6. Always seem to end up in the batting cages or playing pinball or Virtua Fighter or Puyo Puyo or just getting into random fights. Pretty much doing anything else that isn't the actual game itself. Loving it!
Finally getting around to Dishonored 2, and loving the game so far.
When given the choice in game, I almost always choose to play as a good, lawful character. So I kept my hands steadfastly clean in Dishonored 1, and while I enjoyed the game, it felt like Arkane was keeping a lot of the fun gadgets and powers blocked off from me as a result.
So this time, I am playing high chaos with zero regrets and having a blast. Emily is carving a swath of destruction, the Outsider is nagging me, and I just don’t care!
Stupid work availability made me work today from 5 am until 5 pm. Now all I want is a barrel of frozen beer and Sekiro in my chilly shady room.
This weekend it will be Super Mario Maker 2 on Switch and Crash Team Racing on PS4, fun gaming either way!
Crash Team Racing, doing some of the grand prix things. Also want to really get into Dangaronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. I like what I've seen of that so far, but I've barely played any of it yet. Also started Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen, which I'll likely slowly pick away at over time.
Of topic, but the cover pick reminded me to look out for Ciri in Cyber Punk 2077
EDF Iron Rain
Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled
I expect this is all I'll be playing for a couple months. I'm loving both, and there's plenty to do.
Apex Legends and Uncharted the Lost Legacy for me
Bloodstained and detroit. I didnt think i would like detroit but its a pretty good game. I may try to play sekiro but i got stuck on a boss and havent played it in several days.
Working on the Tiny Tina DLC for Borderlands 2. It’s a little harder than I expected. My level 37 Siren is dying with regularity. If I finish that, I’ll move on to the new Commander Lilith DLC and then to the Pre-Sequel maybe if I’m not burned out on Borderlands.
On Vita I’m trying to finish Velocity 2X but the late stages are too difficult and so I’m not having as much fun, so I may consign myself to not completing it. I have started Lara Croft Go on Vita as well.
It’ll be just destiny 2 for me this weekend as I’m correcting state exams 😔 had my first game of menagerie last night and found it to be great fun...even if I was definitely under leveled for it! Might get some Crew 2 in this weekend as well
Got a party heavy weekend, if i get any me time I'll probably get a few crash team racing laps in. Anyone else been watching year of the rabbit? I'm finding it so funny and blunt.
Hong Kong massacre, CTR, Horizon Chase and Tecmo Super Bowl
@Westernwolf4 I much preferred Emily for a stealth playthrough. Corvo brought the chaos. Emily's Domino is great fun to use.
What's going on guys, it's all about GTA V on PS3 for me. I've been playing it a lot for the past week, alternating my time between offline and online play.
Offline, I'm going for collecting the 50 spaceship parts and the 15 knife flight challenges. Unfortunately, it seems one of the single player trophies has glitched on me, so I may have to start a new game or load an earlier save to try and get it.
Online, I'm currently rank 56 and slowly grinding my way to 100.
Happy gaming everyone
Just finished persona q2 on 3ds so I've gotten the Vita out to play persona 4 again
@ApostateMage Domino is the reason I chose Emily, even though her power set seems better for stealth. I could not resist such a cool power. Clearing a whole room full of enemies with one action is great fun!
Mostly bloodstained I think. I need another sweep of the castle In order to grow strong enough for the next boss fight.
Well that's my week off over with and I feel I never made a dent in in my games collection but after saying that this is what I managed..
1/Assassins Creed Odyssey..60 hours in...at least 100 to go..
2/Octopath Traveller..managed to get to chapter 2 of all 8 characters.
3/Graveyard Keeper..Spent more time on this than the whole of the above game and I've only had it less than a week...absolutely addicting but unfortunately also very buggy and glitchy..
4/Horizon Chase Turbo...seriously I never thought I'd be playing more of this than Crash Team Racing..
So yeah, these games will be on the agenda for the weekend.
Been busy so far this weekend but looking to start american fugitive tonight if i get the chance, got the plat for days gone last week only my second in all my gaming days thats how much i enjoyed it 😊
@RogerRoger how do you add gif into the tread?
2 hours into Ni No Kuni 2 (£10 from Game hard to say know at that price) decent start & I've reinstalled the Nathan Drake collection time to go back to the start - on the console games at least
Mainly working over the weekend, but when I am home I will be cracking on with Astro Bots Rescue Mission. I will be betraying Sony soon though, i managed to pick up the Mass Effect trilogy and first 2 Dragon Age games on xbox 360 for just £8 at my local second hand games shop, i couldn't really turn that down.
Also reinstalled The Last of Us, I haven't actually experienced it on the Pro yet, haven't played it since I earned the plat in 2014 so it will be cool to go back to it.
Picked up a copy of Divinity: Original Sin 2 a week or so back. I fired it up this weekend and promptly got absorbed by it. So, that...along with some Dark Souls on the side.
Just finished Detroit with a pretty poor ending, so I’m starting Far Cry 5 and playing CTR with the kids.
Not much time gaming this week but I got a few more missions of fallout 4 in this morning before work. I get that the dialogue options aren't awesome, I'm only about 25 hrs in but it might be one of my favourite games ever for exploration! Got back to okami too, I love the art style but it does drag a bit in sections.
Playing until dawn and then watching the United States women win their second World Cup in a row!!!🇺🇸
@RogerRoger thanks
Im working my way through ni no kuni 2 atm. On the last chapter and working towards hopefully achieving a platinum. I have the season pass, but not sure if i fancy much more after the 70 hours or so ive already put into the game
@zeppray Im for the other team. 😆
CTR and its hard. 😆 But it looks great need too learn nitroboost.
Just finished Nier automata for the fourth time, I'm going back to bloodborne as soon as I finish getting all the costumes and all sidequests for nier.
Just got the key for new londo ruins in Dark Souls then died to an undead dragon next to a bridge. love the design of these games!
With all the Cyberpunk 2077 hype, it’s made me want to revisit the wonderful world of The Witcher 3 to do the DLCs! Other than that probably some Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One and Super Mario Maker 2 on Switch.
Fortnite, Mario Maker 2, Bloodstained, Moss VR updates.
@Westernwolf4 I'm always happy when someone discover and appreciate a pearl like Dishonored 2 and its brilliant game design. What about Prey? Have you already played it?
Days Gone and Mario Maker 2. Like everyone should be.
Just finished the witcher 3 for the second time due to the issue of a disk save not being compatible with a digital copy. Now finally I can get into the Dlc. Started Detroit BH also, really enjoying that aswell.
@Flaming_Kaiser good luck with both games!!!
@andreoni79 Yes, Prey is a fantastic game! It is great for many of the same reasons Dishonored is so compelling: Arkane does such great level design that I want to explore every corner of the game.
I have not played the Mooncrash DLC for Prey yet. I have heard it is great, and I hope to get it soon. Did you play it? If so, how did you like it?
@TheLoCoRaven We picked up Mario Maker 2 this weekend, but I can’t really try it because my kids won’t put it down! 😂
@Th3solution Hope you're enjoying a bit of Borderlands. I've downloaded and installed both the Ultra HD pack and new DLC for Borderlands Handsome collection but in game menus tell me neither are installed. Did you encounter this problem?
@zeppray Thanks you 2. 😆
@Panic_Attache I’m not in front of my PS4 at the moment, but yeah, I think the game menu says I have not installed the new DLC, but the in game map has the area available to fast travel and start it, so it should be there. Not sure about the Ultra HD pack - I didn’t download that on account of not having a 4K TV (yet 😉)
@Westernwolf4 Nope, I still have to try it. Too many good games out there, so I usually have to ignore dlc because of lack of time. But I played Death of the Outsider, and that was great too.
A healthy mixture of The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone (for the third time) and Wolfenstein 2.
DayZ, DayZ and more Dayz. Not ashamed of it either
@andreoni79 @Westernwolf4 You know Dishonored 2 is so clever I'm still in awe even on my 5th playthrough. Just found out more secrets in a Crack in the Slab which I won't spoil for anyone. I want to try Prey one day simply cause it's Arkane.
Dishonored+Dishonored2+DotO has to go down as one of the most brilliant series ever made and get a special award for it. I feel it needs more recognition cause some people don't really know what it's about and won't bother giving it a try.
I had a blast of Horizon Chase Turbo and it's pretty cool. It would be perfect for the Vita.
@TheArt If you like the Dishonored games, then I cannot recommend Prey highly enough. It has the same great detailed level exploration, but in a package of sci-fi goodness. If anything, I think it nails its atmosphere better than Dishonored, and as you know Dishonored gets very high marks for that. Prey is a gem.
@Westernwolf4 What kept me from getting it quickly is how its score is quite lower than all the Dishonored games. But I'll definitely have to check it out.
