The Church in the Darkness has been in development for a number of years now, with its PS4 announcement taking place all the way back in February 2016. Now, it has finally made a return with a release date of 2nd August.
The trailer above features footage that's very similar to the initial announcement three years ago, but it still looks absolutely fascinating. "In the 1970s, extremist sect the Collective Justice Mission moves to South America to isolate themselves. You infiltrate their town to check on a relative but soon learn that in the jungle, nothing is what it seems." From a top-down perspective, you'll unravel a mystery that changes every time you play.

As a pastor I’m interested in playing this lol
It seems very much inspired by Jones Town.
@AdamNovice that’s what I was thinking too
@AdamNovice there was a pretty decent movie about jim jones and that whole s*** show a few years back. Pretty messed up stuff
I’m interested, but it’s dependent on the price tag.
The Preacher.
@Nyne11Tyme Absolutely, Jones Town is probably one of the most fascinating yet disturbing stories I've read about.
It's actually not been quite as long as I thought, but I feel like I've been waiting for this for an eternity!
A group of socialists stoning someone tied to a stake?
Sounds like Twitter - The Game.
